Legit just left this place and I won't return. So unprofessional, as I patiently waited in line to order my food a guy comes in and one of the ladies went straight to his service as if I wasn't standing there. I wanted Mac and cheese and she kept mentioning how she had to make it last but she let him cut and offered to give him the Mac and cheese I was going to order and when I finally was noticed she offered me the crumbs of the Mac and I politely declined. First time and I'm rating it 0 because what company does that... truly irritated btw she's the one with the glasses.. I also traveled from Long Beach because I was told they were so good

My God! Their food is soooo delicious. I woke up craving oxtails (I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant) and granny's kitchen is about 6 min from my house so I figured why not. I ordered thru Uber and got their lunch special which was the oxtail plate w 2 sides and I picked their Mac and cheese and rice w gravy their kool aid of the day and their homemade peach cobbler for dessert. When I tell you they did not disappoint!! First of all when uber dropped off the food and I was waiting for the driver to take his pic, I could already smell the food. I grab the bag from my porch and it was heavy! I bring it inside and open it up and mannnnn! The smell was amazing, and as soon as I took my first bite of the oxtail I was in love! Huge pieces of oxtails! Big portions! Mac and cheese was very creamy and cheesy. The rice was amazing. Everything was very well seasoned and their kool aid is bomb!! Their cornbread was delicious! I really can't say enough about this place and I'm glad I ordered from them! I definitely recommend it and I will for sure order from them again!!

I've been going here for the past four years and the price point is good there food is consistent overall but there has been a couple of times where I've gone and things were a little different. Mac, cabbage, yams, fried chicken & turkey wing are my faves. The disadvantage is that since Covid they have no place for you to sit in the restaurant so you have to order and leave. The service I would give it 8 out of 10 particular people have better service than others here. Despite the minor hiccups, the place is a hidden gem and I'd recommend it if you're in the area to go check them out.

I forgot to take pictures but this place is bomb. It's the food your granny used make. We got four dinners and a peach cobbler. Mac n cheese, fire, greens-fire, meatloaf, fire , neckbones also fire. Everything was good except the corn muffins which were burnt on the bottom but the tops were pretty good. I was in the area and I wanted to try th place for a Sunday dinner. It good enough to be worth the drive. Parking is not good. I parked in the red on the street. Last thing the customer service was also very good. Definitely worth a try.

Not one thing is bad here, people, vibes or food. I can't even show you my plate because unfortunately it didn't make it home. I got the red snapper dinner that comes with 3 sides, in which I chose collard greens, yams, and mac n cheese (my favorite in that order) and 2 cornbread muffins. Fish is crispy and made fresh to order, collards greens are sweet n tangy, yams are sweet with cinnamon and nutmeg on point, and mac n cheese is cheesy. And thank you lord the cornbread isn't dry! Behind the counter were 2 of the sweetest ladies! Tip them when you go because that food is made with love! Scheming now to figure out when I'm coming back!

I was in the mood for some good soul food and Granny's Kitchen didn't disappoint. I ordered the dinner, which comes with one meat and three sides plus two corn bread muffins. I chose the baked chicken, two sides of mac and cheese, yams, and some peach cobbler for desert. The bake chicken was seasoned to perfection and was so tender it fell off the bone - 4.5/5. The max and cheese was nice and cheesy, creamy, and had the classic flavor I was hoping for - 5/5. The yams were sweet and sticky - 4/5. The peach cobbler was really good. I loved the amount of crust it had in it - 4/5. My only issue was with the corn bread. One piece of the corn bread was over cooked, the second piece was perfectly cooked - 3/5. The customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located in a small stipe mall with minimal parking. I will be returning to try additional menu options.

Came by today for the first time and got a three side plate that contains an entree. Great, warm customer service, he even hooked me up with a free peach cobbler.

The chitterlings were $45.99 and it was a mediocre portion size. The chitterlings also tasted bland and watery. The cabbage was over salted and mushy. The Mac and cheese was over salted. The green beans were also over salted and mushy. The black eyed peas were good though. I wish these soul food restaurant employees would go to culinary school of some kind. It's disrespectful to the culture at this point to serve this. The bill for two dinners was $83.00 dollars and it wasn't good. R&R in Carson is the only soul food restaurant I can support in LA.

Dont ever go to this place. The guy at the door was extremely rude at me for no reason, he is for sure going through something because I gave him no reason to disrespect me. Crazy how they can treat their clients poorly!
