Hakata Ikkousha Ramen is in my top 3 of favorite ramen restaurants in LA. Specifically the black devil ramen, which is my go to order. The fusion of the garlic from the black tonkatsu and the spice from the god fire makes the perfect broth. Chasu is thin, and the egg is cooked perfect with the yolk runny. I go in on the noodles and order kaedama (extra noodles) for only $2 more. I order the noodles hard with the spicy level 3. I have a high spice tolerance, so 3 is perfect for that kick and very enjoyable. At times I get level 4 spicy but it can overpower the black tonkatsu broth because it's pretty spicy. 5-star ramen, excellent choice for a cold night! All the staff are enthusiastic and just overall a great authentic ramen experience. The restaurant is small so prepare to wait at least 25 -45min for dinner.

My wife and I stopped by here after seeing the good reviews compares to other ramen places nearby. The food is excellent!! We both got the Black Devil broth, which was amazing. The service was phenominal as well! We were constantly attended to, and our food came out quickly. The interior is very home-ey, and feel comfortable. The music is at a nice volume too. Overall, a perfect little place!

Extremely disappointed!!! Gyoza were absolute grease-balls! Tasted like greasy hamburgers. Gross! Worst gyoza I’ve ever had. Tonkatsu ramen flavorless. Ugh. And the waitress ignored our topping selection and simply added everything. So disappointed!

This is my absolute favorite ramen place in LA. My boyfriend and I decided to try out as many as we could just to say we'd had all the ramen in LA, but once we came here, we never went anywhere else. Other places obviously have different strong suits, like the noodles, the meat, etc. This place has killer broth and soy eggs. Absolutely amazing. The customer service is great, too! We've been here enough times and introduced enough people to this place that I'm sure the employees must hate us by now but they never treat us as such! Which I'm extremely grateful for, because I would hate to not feel welcome at this place, but they do an amazing job every time! And they provide stamp cards, of which we've filled out like 5 already, so the incentive to return is there. I absolutely love this place and I would continue to recommend it to everyone!!!!!

One of the best ramen places in town. Excellent choices along with ramen. We tried it for the first time as we were visiting little Tokyo. Although it is not in the village I will highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. Will be going back for some more next time I am visiting.
