It's always a great experience ordering from this location. They have better parking situation than the one on 6th. The spareribs are perfectly seasoned and grilled and their banchan are always fresh. Their gamjatang is also a favorite. Call in your order to go and it will be ready on time.

Pork spare ribs are absolutely on point. Perfectly charred with a mix of lean and fatty pieces, but all flavor. Would come here for these alone. Gamjatang was solid with the meat being tender and easy to remove but not really my thing.

If I could give zero stars I would. The service was extremely rude. The banchan was super sour, so I could tell they were old. The food was also just not good. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Every time I have their famous pork spare ribs they never seem to disappoint They provide a generous amount of different side dishes and the salad that comes with the ribs has just the right sweetness and tanginess which goes so well with the meat We also got their spicy milt soup which had the perfect spiciness and flavor to it and on top of that everything didn't fit in one container so they packed it in two separate containers They have two locations in Koreatown and I highly recommend this must-try pork spare rib restaurant if you're in the area

Man... this place held a special spot in my food heart lmao. I used to come here a LOT over a decade ago, either eating in with pops or getting to-go with friends. I do remember a cockroach scuttering by about 15+ years ago, but that didn't deter me from continuing to get food here lmfao. It USED to be big portions and their pork was well seasoned, perfectly grilled and TENDER. They used to charge about $20 for 1 order which came with rice and side dishes and a heavy amount of meat. I called the other day and the guy said $40 for an order... LOL. I didn't end up ordering, but somehow my cousin ordered catering from here for a fam dinner about a week later. The meat looked the same.. but it was extremely chewy and tough. DEFINITELY not worth the hundreds of dollars spent. Not sure what changed but charging double the price while lowering the quality of food is definitely not the way to go. I hate to write a bad review especially for a smaller business but I'm not gonna lie.. it is what it is. Ham Ji Park, we had a good run.

Surprised this place isn't full all the time! Came around 3pm and it was empty!! Service was obviously great, the server was also the cook and she gave a very motherly vibe. I love places like this because it feels homey even though it's a restaurant. She was very sweet. The food was also very delicious. We got the pork ribs and also the gamjatang, both were super flavorful and delicious. It's almost like a hole in the wall. But this place is super great. I would 100% recommend!!!

Good food. Good service. Clean tables and space. Parking was in the back. Easy to find in a plaza.

I've been to Hamjibak at Pico & Crenshaw for the first time in 30 years. It used to have a bustling atmosphere, like a working-class restaurant... There's a branch at 6th & Kenmore, and now I'm not sure if it's the main branch or the branch, but the grumpy lady was there even before I started eating. I feel slightly worse.

This was hands down the worst beef short ribs I ever had in my life. I come from San Francisco where the Korean BBQ is not as good as Los Angeles but this was the most overcooked and dried out piece of galbi I ever had. I was really disappointed because this was going to be our last meal before flying back to SF. The only reason I gave it an extra star was because the pork soup was pretty good.

It's nice that the lady who serves the food is comfortable and makes you feel good, and the food is delicious.
