Amazing Korea food in K-Town. This is my first experience to try this traditional & authentic Korea restaurant. My home town from Pusan city ,one of the biggest sea port city all over the world. When I visited my Pusan family, they invited me to try many different Pusan classic soup,BBQ,hot-pot,etc.But even In CA,I can have the same Korea food in Jook Hyang restaurant. Thanks for the owner uncle. They guys always keep patience in service.Really respect to customers. Be back tomorrow.Cauz food here as home.

So glad we took a chance on this spot! My husband is on his deathbed with the flu and desperately needed some nourishing, comfort soup to help soothe his throat and spirits. We ordered Jook Hyang's chicken porridge and spare rib soup with glass noodles. The packaging was extremely neat - all the containers used were high quality to prevent spills and there were cardboard cut outs to provide stability during transport. They definitely go the extra mile for those who order takeout! Onto the food - I only tried the rib soup so far, but it was exactly what I wanted. It has a clear, clean broth with stewed veggies and glass noodles cooked to al dente (surprising!). The ribs almost fell off the bone and were very tender and comforting. This soup was like a nice warm hug. The banchan was SO GOOD and flavorful. I felt cleansed eating each one and loved how well each dish was marinated but not too overpowering. I read another yelper's description of this style of Korean food being more traditional and if that's the case, I LOVE traditional Korean food. The ingredients used were high quality and I could absolutely taste the difference. I'm bookmarking this restaurant and am looking forward to our next order, or maybe in person visit!

So homey and filling! The waiters are so sweet and the side dishes are so diverse and fresh. One of my new favorite spots for sure!

Wow this was truly such a phenomenal find. One of the best samgyetangs I have ever had in my life, even out of Korea! And the side dishes were so clearly all well prepared and had so much care and thought put into them. The home made burdock tea was also so good, one of the best meals I have had in Koreatown and in LA. Service was so polite and friendly too.

First time ordering here. Had the abalone porridge and it actually exceeded my expectations. Portion is huge and they give great side dishes. A bit pricey for porridge ($24.99) but everything went up these days. Chicken porridge was a little bland.

Try several dishes, the Galbijjim is the best, but a little too heavy, tastes better with rice.

My wife got me some takeout from this restaurant. I was pretty satisfied at it's old school flavors and textures. If you actually used to live in Korea, and sometimes you're tired of the overly sweet, spicy, fried or fusion explorations designed to attract visitors to Koreatown (which are also good when that's what you're craving), and you just sometimes want to appreciate again what good traditional food used to taste like, you can keep this place on your list.

This is the place for jook. Perfect for hangovers or just wanting to feel better. Fantastic homebrew burdock tea and an impressive array of rotating side dishes.
