Came here to try out their five course Valentine's Day dinner and it was AMAZING! The food is made with love. Every dish was neatly made like it was a work of art. The drinks were also out of this world. I had the rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. The service was probably one of the best experiences of my life because the atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly. I'd love to come back here next year and experience the food all over again!

Hinoki & The Bird, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Century City, elevated Galentine's Day dining to new heights with their exquisite prix fixe menu, priced at $150 per person. As I stepped into the elegant ambiance of this renowned establishment, I embarked on a gastronomic journey that surpassed all expectations. The evening commenced with a tantalizing selection of starters, including the delicate and crispy Lotus Chips, which served as a delightful prelude to the feast that awaited. The Salmon Curd, with its velvety texture and nuanced flavors, left a lasting impression, while the Oysters, fresh and brimming with oceanic essence, provided a refreshing interlude. The culinary adventure continued with the Crispy Jidori Chicken, a symphony of crispy skin and succulent meat, perfectly complemented by its accompanying sauces. The Warm Napa Cabbage, infused with savory notes and adorned with delicate toppings, offered a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. The highlight of the evening was the Flat Iron Steak with Chimichurri, a carnivorous delight that showcased the mastery of Hinoki & The Bird's culinary team. The steak, cooked to perfection, was tender and flavorful, while the vibrant chimichurri added a zesty kick that elevated each bite to new heights. The Black Cod, with its buttery texture and delicate seasoning, provided a welcome contrast to the heartier dishes, offering a moment of pure indulgence. As the evening drew to a close, the decadent Chocolate Fondant and Miso Donuts provided a sweet conclusion to the culinary journey, leaving a lingering sense of satisfaction. Throughout the evening, the impeccable service at Hinoki & The Bird further enhanced the dining experience. Attentive staff members catered to our every need, ensuring that each course was presented with care and precision. In conclusion, the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu at Hinoki & The Bird was a culinary extravaganza that surpassed all expectations. From the impeccable execution of each dish to the warm and attentive service, every aspect of the dining experience was exemplary. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a memorable dining experience, Hinoki & The Bird continues to stand out as a beacon of culinary excellence in Century City

So 11 years later, I found myself back here for lunch and felt same way about food I did a decade ago. Lavender mocktail was tasty. Fries with ranch were good. But the CLT sandwich was downright awful. The thin slice of char siu pork was obviously a cheap cut. It was fatty, tough and frankly, completely inedible in some places. I literally had to spit pieces of it out which was doubly embarrassing given this was a one-on-one work lunch. Gross. The one highlight was the service staff who was lovely. Oh and the ambiance is still nice.

Food was tasty, but not worth the price (on Vday it was $150 per person). One of the meals was basically fried chicken. Any other time to visit would be great, when the menu is at a normal price.

Tried the Thanksgiving dinner when I was not feeling in the mood to cook for the family. The outside patio is warm and lit by a fireplace. Private and quiet ambience. Service was good. The food though was mediocre and for the price, it wasn't worth it.

I used to like this resto and even bragged about it to my friends but this time the food was underwhelmed! Do they have new chef/cook? The boar ribs and sashimi was outstanding but the pork chop was undercooked chewy no taste! The mushroom fried rice was so so! The Brussels sprouts was good. The flank steak was just ok! The fried chicken had Very thick batter and you could hardly See the chicken. The cod fish was delicious to perfection! Overall probably not going back! Very pricey!

Let me just start off by saying this was by far my favorite restaurant to visit during my stay in Los Angeles. Upon my visit I was greeted by a wonderful host who sat me and my partner almost immediately. My server was very knowledgeable regarding the food menu and wine selection. My meal was so delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The ambiance of entire location perfectly matched the quality of my meal. I will 100% be returning to Hinoki & the bird!

This restaurant did not fail to disappoint every expectation I could have and more. The smell of the food alone makes your water mouth, all for it to taste even better than you could image. The chef's truly deserve an award for how delicious they make the food. overall my experience here was incredible, great service, and impeccable food. I will definitely be coming back.

I’ll start from the beginning… how much we wanted to eat here and how excited we were for our lunch. How cute the restaurant is when you arrive, how good it smelled, how warm the host was who greeted us. This restaurant was batting one thousand… until the food came. The food was plain terrible. Almost inedible. And expensive— $375 for five people, no alcohol. The sashimi was bland, and the miso salmon was served cold and fishy. Even the espresso was lukewarm, watery, and burnt. Anyway, we’re disappointed and will never be back.

Hidden door to enter the restaurant. How fun. At one of the most famous buildings in Southern California,The Century in Century City. This is a shared dining experience. The outdoor area is very private and very enchanting. The food is transformational. The seafood, particularly the Hinoki Scented Black Cod and the Crispy Marinared Chicken were sensational. Service is warm and unparalleled. Will go back. #seafood #chicken #cocktails

Solid spot for a lunch meeting in the area. I've never been for dinner. Parking is valet which is helpful. Food is good and they have a variety of options.

It wasn't good. We ordered the peking duck and it took an hour and 15 mins to get to us. And then when it finally did, the duck was flavorless, overcooked and dry. Our waiter was nice. Don't go here if you want good food.
