“This was my first time trying Honduran food, and I was so impressed! I got the Pollo Tajadas and it was sooo juicy!! The chicken was cooked perfectly. I wish it had more sauce, it was a bit dry but I think I can just ask for more sauce next time. My homegirl who is Honduran tried it with me and verified that it was bomb af! Check them out“

“I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for over 10 years and I've never been disappointed yet. If you are new to this place please start your order off with a baleada (not sure if thats how you spell it), You wont regret it. The horchata is amazing and my go to entree is the Fried pork chop dinner with casamientos rice and beans. If you're looking for authentic Hoduranian food, this is definitely your go to.“
“Delicious paletas made with fresh ingredients and traditional Oaxacan flavors. Our family loved the fruit and chili paletas and were impressed with the chunks of fresh fruit. The strawberry paleta stole the show and I was especially pleased that it wasn't overly sweet. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Santa Monica!“

“This restaurant has some really good food! They make the pupusas fresh and the hand made tortillas. The breakfast platters are delicious and filling, you get a plate with plenty of food. One selection I didn't care too much for was the shrimp cocktail, I have never seen where a restaurant leaves the shrimp tail on the shrimp when it's in a cocktail. Also the amount of shrimp that the cocktail had was disappointing, the cocktail was loaded with way too much sauce and vegetables. This is the first restaurant that I have gotten a shrimp cocktail and I've been mad that I paid almost $20 for a small serving of shrimp. The service was "OK", we ate here 3 times and the servers can't seem to get the orders correct, even when they write out down because they're too busy gossiping, chit-chat ting, or watching TV.“

“A hidden gem of Honduran food. As their name suggests, they are truly serving up the flavors of Honduras. The location is street parking only and on a high traffic street, so be weary of crossing. There is a crosswalk near the restaurant corner, but be sure to triple check to avoid being run over. The food was amazing. My friend is from Honduras and said this reminds him the most of authentic food from his home country. The Baleadas are a must order. Fresh flour tortilla with refried beans, crema, and cheese. A super simple dish, but amazingly tasty. They do have a few alternate fillings (add eggs, meat), but I'm told the original is best.I also tried the Honduran Enchilada. It's not as you'd expect, since the majority of us are accustomed to Mexican style ones. These are a fried tortilla, topped with their beef/potato/carrot mix, cabbage, red sauce, and tomato - and side of pickled onion. A tasty dish, but a bit rough to eat. Definitely a knife and fork situation. Pupusas.... wow. The masa layer is relatively thin so you can taste the massive amount of filling inside. These are the best pupusas I've had. It's served with red sauce and cortido. Crema is available as an extra side order, if needed (it's not needed). Only 4 fillings are available, but they are made quite nicely. They do take some time to arrive (menu warns approx 20 min), so be aware if you're in a rush. Be sure to order it a bit well done if you like crispy crust (yes!).The restaurant feels like a small family location and service was great. Cash and card are accepted, but if you do card, please bring cash for the tip! The credit card machine doesn't provide an option to add a tip (a rarity in today's tipping war...). The service was outstanding and we were glad to have brought cash for that! Definitely a must visit if you're a fan of Latino food in general. A katracho restaurant is definitely rare to find. It's quite a bit more different than the usual dishes I've had elsewhere.“

“Best authentic Hondurian food. Great plantine chips, tajadas. I enjoy the passion fruit, maracuyá, drink very much. I got the sampler plate. It was very tasty but the enchiladas, tostadas, we're much smaller since last year. Made me a bit sad. Most meals are big square plate in the 16 - 24 dollar range. Lastly, make sure to ask for more napkins, sauce or utensils.Parking: Very small lot for about 8 cars.“
