I remember coming here as a kid with family and we always ordered the classic Cantonese dishes. Cantonese food is best when shared with large groups so that you can order many plates!

We enjoyed the filet of fish in bean sauce, lychee shrimp, and beef with broccoli. The streamed chicken needed more flavor, was somewhat dry, and had the challenge of having to eat around bones. However, the other dishes made the meal worthwhile.Parking: Parking lot across the street from restaurant.

Don't order from Q menu. The order wasn't correct but Hop Li did not accept responsibility.

My group of 8-10 friends has been coming to Hop Li the last several years to celebrate Chinese New Year. The service is always on point, the quality of food is exceptional. Egg plant dish has a unique hint of spice and just melts in your mouth. The fried fish is shareable dish and so crispy you can eat the bones. Sliced beef is tender. Pork Hot & sour soup is a great option as well. They have ample parking lot right across from the restaurant and this is winding walking distant to LA Chinatown main plaza. We hope that Hop Li will be around for many more years

Been a faithful customer for 10 years. Best spot in LA.
I usually eat Chinese food in Monterey Park, Alhambra, and San Gabriel valley. But in Chinatown Hop Li Seafood satisfy with good flavors in your traditional Cantonese dishes at reasonable prices.

Old school Chinatown restaurant; good food, fast; zero ambiance. There's a reason they've been there a while.
