We recently visited IHOP with my family, hoping to enjoy a nice meal before ending our vacation in LA. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by the server's attitude. His name was Mario G. Throughout the meal, the service was minimal, and when we asked for the bill, the server pointed to the suggested tips, implying that we should tip more and that it has to be a certain percentage. When we requested change for our $100 bill, intending to leave a tip with the change we received, the server was rude and passive-aggressive, insisting that we should have informed him beforehand if we weren't going to tip. He told us that “next time we come to IHOP we should tell the server we aren’t going to tip so he gives service that isn’t worthy of any tip.” He rudely told us that we should tip because this is how he makes his living. I understand that, but why is it the customers responsibility to ensure that servers get a livable wage? It is the employers responsibility. I should not be forced to pay an extra 20% especially when the service was minimal. I usually tip servers, but this encounter was unnecessary. This lecture was completely unprofessional and left a sour taste in our mouths. Such behavior is unacceptable and has made us reconsider returning to this establishment in the future.

I was in LA for 3 days and had breakfast on all the 3 days at iHOP. I just love the pan cakes and crepe there. The service also lives up to the expectation from iHOP.Vegetarian options: Clearly labled vegan and veg dishes
The food was okay. The service, however, was utterly terrible, even when there was hardly anyone there at 8AM in the morning. Uh. You'd think going there early with less people but no. No one was in the front when I came in. NEVER come early in the morning here before 10AM, they don't have a lot of staff so you won't be attended to. Be prepared to ask for napkins, sauces, anything in the little bit of time you ever see your server.
verry good
