This was the first time dining at Joyce and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great and food was amazing!! Everything we ate was so seasoned and delicious! We didn't wait long for our food. Everything came out as it was ready and the staff were so friendly and gave us great recommendations for our first time! Our waiter was Rob and he was amazing!! Definitely will be going back!

Well we received our food before our nonalcoholic beverages.... The food was not good at all. I was highly disappointed in the Mac and cheese, which was more like Mac and grease. There was no cheese. The Pork belly we received was a very bad cut. The actual meat was very dry and the rest was a hunk of fat... Terrible. Hush puppies were also not good. Best item was the catfish, which was mediocre at best. It's a cute little restaurant in Downtown, but the food could definitely use some work.

Catfish and cornbread were outstanding. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. Short ribs were good, not great. Service was a bit strange. Whereas we asked for the shrimp cocktail as out starter, it came out after the cornbread and catfish had arrived, and that was after we asked about the shrimp. We had theater tickets so were concerned about the time, so the server said the cobbler would only take 3-4 minutes to come out , whereas the beignets would take 10-15 minutes. So we ordered a cobbler and 10+ minutes later it had not arrived. Had it taken off the bill as we had to leave.

The menu has something for everyone. Surprisingly, the veggies were a hit with our group, even the guys ate them up. We had the sea bass, catfish, the game hen, carrots, kale, fresh scallops, oysters. We had 6 people and we created a tasting menu of many things each delicious. We started with the cornbread and it disappeared yum. I'm taking a client to lunch here in a few weeks. It's officially on the monthly rotation.

The ambience was lovely. Joyce is advertised as a Black owned, Southern cuisine restaurant. We found it lacked the tradition of Black Southern cooking. The cornbread and Mac n Cheese were tasty. The grits, collards and fried chicken lacked Southern seasonings, and the hash brown patties a la McDonald's were a surprise. I'll be back for drinks!

I am so thankful this is my fourth time at this amazing place. The staff is so amazing and the food gives me happy energy. This time I had the Nashville Hot Fried Catfish Roll and the Blueberry Bourbon Cobbler. I washed it down slowly with a Tropicalia IPA. I need more...

We really enjoyed our first visit to Joyce. Everything was perfect, we celebrated an anniversary and the staff made the evening very special. Every menu choice we made, or were guided to try was delicious, the Trinity (IYKYK) should not be missed. The elevation of comfort food was an experience we plan to enjoy again soon!

it would be hard to say too much good about this place. The vibe is great. The service was impeccable. So the food. Everything from the raw bar was incredible. The cornbread is unique and the best I've had. The catfish is delicious. Every ingredient for every dish was well thought out and flawlessly executed. My companion thought the wines that were suggested were some of the best she had had. Will we go back? No doubt.

We had a reservation on 3/10/24 @11:45 to celebrate my birthday. Joyce's vibe and decorum was amazing! From the colors chosen to the beautiful art work of Prince's mom on the walls to the art deco restrooms. We enjoyed talking to the owner about the history of the restaurant and his background! I've told family and friends to check out Joyce's as well! We will most definitely be back!

Very disappointed by our meal at Joyce. I loved preux and proper so I had high hopes, but left feeling very let down. Our server didn't come by our table once for the first 25 minutes of us sitting, so we sat hungry with no water for that long. Once he stopped by he took our cocktail order in a rush and didn't even give us the time to ask if we wanted to order. It was about 50 minutes into arriving before we could finally place our food order. The food itself was disappointing and all arrived at once. Many of the dishes were way too hot and I burned my tongue on three or four of them. Everything tasted flat and relatively unseasoned. The Mac n cheese had water in it, seemingly from the noodles not being dried. The fried hen was bland outside of the honey. The Hokkaido scallops were fishy tasting. I could go on, but the only dish we genuinely enjoyed was the duck leg. Overall, I'm disheartened. I was so thrilled to hear about this restaurant opening and it fell way short of expectations.

The cornbread is a winner!! The fried chicken and waffle were also delicious. Went with 3 friends for Sunday Brunch, and we tried a variety of things. Overall, everything we had was very good, and the wait staff, along with the management staff, were very nice and made us feel welcome. I will be going back.
