A lovely sit-down restaurant with good food and service since we were not in a rush. This was a delicious and convenient place to stop and eat before going to a concert or other major venues in the area. The server and hostess were very hospitable and made for an overall enjoyable experience.

Five stars all around for me!!! Haven't been here in a while and it was very good! Came here before our concert at The Novo and it was not a disappointment at all. They were very generous and let us in rapidly without reservations. The food was very good! I ordered the miso soup, salmon teriyaki, salmon nigiri, Cucumber Sunomono, and tried the Rock shrimp. Literally everything was good !!! It was made fresh with so much flavor! The location is perfect, which makes the ambiance superb! Very cute decor and clean inside with spacious seating. Good for all types of occasions, date night or hang out with friends! The service was phenomenal and our waitress was so attentive with a very good attitude! Her name was ingo if I said it correctly! Overall, I recommend here before a concert or game! They have a good menu for sure! Parking is in the structure by Novo and other lots! -Marshay D.

I have not been to Katsuya for a minute. We went for dinner before a concert at the Novo and ate here the food was still as tasty as I remembered. Everything was made fresh to order and delicious. The waitress, Ingy was delightful. She was fun and very accommodating. Great scenery with nice lighting. Always a great time here. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

I have been to Katsuya a few times prior and I always order the crispy brussel sprouts - they always taste great and are so satisfying to eat. The shishito peppers were my second favorite bite of the night. The spicy garlic edamame were not very spicy. The eggplant and mushrooms were good but didn't taste memorable. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The restaurant surprisingly was not very busy for it being a Saturday night.

Just want to give our waiter Misa a HUGE shout out . He made our dinner very pleasant, he even shared his Misasause especially made by him and suggested dishes that would pair nicely with his sauce . I will definitely go back and in hopes Misa is there to serve us. Overall great experience, from appetizer till dessert time .

So my 2nd kings game so we decided to to go to dinner before . Was so excited about sushi so ambiance is really nice. Service was ok a little slow. But server was nice and gave suggestions. Food was ok. Have been to places that were little hole in the walls and were better then here! And way way over priced! I mean it was ridiculously over priced for the quality of sushi you get! Really disappointed.

Nice high end sushi place in LA Live, always a good choice before a Laker game. Although it is naturally quite pricey, they do deliver on the lemon-y salmon roll and the rock shrimp roll is just creamy goodness. And don't forget the awesome brussel sprouts! The fish is fresh, the service nice and efficient, they know most people need to be done by a certain time and they move you in and out with no delays.

JJ was an amazing server and made our birthday meal a fun celebration with a comped dessert and sparkler candle!

Decided to treat ourselves by making a reservation here and were blown away by the food. Perfect portions that leave just enough room for dessert! The wagyu gyoza was absolutely mouthwatering and a group favorite that night. Everything was delicious and we would definitely come again!

We normally dine at Katsuya in Studio City or Encino, and this was our first time at L.A. Live. We were not disappointed. Food was fantastic, as always. Though it's a lot busier downtown, it didn't affect the ambiance for us. Last but not least: the service. We had the pleasure of being taken care of by Misael. He was affable, professional, and on IT. He even brought us a special dipping sauce, his own, out-of-this-world creation. Needless to say, we'll definitely be going back!

Great food and excellent service!! Our server, Misa, was so kind and helpful and even provided us with a DELICIOUS off-menu chili sauce. So great, would definitely come back!

Japanese and power rangers decor. Hip hop jams playing and you can see them preparing the sashimi and rolls when you enter restaurant. Our server Lauren was nice and provided a couple suggestions which we took. Food was mwauh! Pricey but everything is so good and shareable.

Our server Ingy (hope I spelled that correctly) was excellent and our food was delicious. It gets very crowded very quickly but it's worth the wait.
