Highly recommend the Chiu Chow Fish Ball Noodles here. The fish balls here are fresh and bouncy with the right amount of peppery. There’s seating outside of the restaurant in the plaza area, making for a nice people-watching lunch. Also, you can’t beat the price at ~$11 per bowl of noodles! Even with the saturated availability of Chinese/Teochow food in the SGV, I would still make the trek out to Chinatown for Kim Chuy’s fish ball noodles!
I love teo-chow noodle soup. It takes me back to the 90s and early 2000s where I would eat this with the family prior to our Saturday activities. I'd say that Kim Chuy is a neat staple in China Town, given that many of the surrounding restaurants are slowly gentrifying and does not represent modern Chinese dishes unfortunately. I ate there once a few months ago, and I suddenly wanted to eat it today. I ordered the same thing. It was not bad, and it was delicious. After I finished eating it, the menu changed.
