This specific location is very much a staple to the community of Boyle Heights. This is my go to for a reasonably priced coffee or chai latte. The staff does an amazing job decorating for every holiday and maintaining the cleanliness of the store which is set in a historic building. I'm super grateful they have wifi and allow you to plug-in your devices. They always play new inspiring music that adds to the overall peaceful vibe.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp with rails on both sides for you to hold onto. Inside the tables and chairs are interchangeable for your convenience

This will be my go to bakery. The bread was delicious and I was able to sample out the cakes. Thank you to the manager for putting me on the tres leches drink. Crazy to think that I've drove by here for years and never stopped by. When in the hights this is a go to spot, great drink, good bread and amazing customer service. I'll see you tomorrow

I love coming to Monarca's! The bread and coffee are always the best. Everyone is always friendly, when arriving everyone greets you. Staff is also very helpful with the menu or just in general. The one complaint I do have is that the last several times I've been there the staff is sweeping around you.

Bad service. I placed an online order for pick up the next morning. Part of my order was canceled and I tried to call to see what was canceled, but no one answered. I was on hold for 7 minutes before I decided to end the call since I was down the street already. To my shock, there were no customers. Anyone of the employees could have easily answered the phone. As for the food, the orange juice is good, the champurrado tastes like cinnamon toast crunch in a bad way, and the conchas have a store bought quality to them.

Had a cake today that was bought here and it was spoiled. Made me vomit. Horrible !!! Attempt was made to call and notify business of problem but they never picked up phone. Was put on hold for eternity. Poor way to run a business

Pan dulce is OK, kinda expensive. They’re more commercial and preserved compared to what you’d find at a private owned, less fancy panadaria. Thier packaging and store decor is nice and service is good. Free samples are available which is a plus.Parking may be a little difficult btw.
A paradise for the seriously sugar-addicted.Almost everything is cloyingly sweet, and oily. The tabletops are always appallingly sticky. And they don't even offer Wi-Fi for the patrons. The staff turnover is high, an indicator that they don't treat them well, and likely underpay them. Hope to be wrong in my assumption.

Cute little Mexican Cafe in Boyle Heights. The coffee was good. And there were tons of pastries to choose from. The servers were friendly and accommodating. I only ordered an Americano which wasn't on the menu, but they had no problem with my request.
