The steak was really good, but the shrimp for cocktail was raw. Atmosphere there and the views are great.

I recently celebrated my 25th Wedding Anniversary at LA Prime, located at the Westin Bonaventure in downtown Los Angeles, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the last bite of dessert, every aspect of our visit was delightful. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the 24 ounce bone-in delmonico ribeye, a succulent masterpiece that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Cooked to perfection, the meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying mashed potatoes were a heavenly side dish that complemented the richness of the ribeye flawlessly. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs at LA Prime. The ambiance at the 35th-floor restaurant was breathtaking. The panoramic view of downtown Los Angeles from that height was simply mesmerizing, providing a picturesque backdrop to our dining experience. The combination of delectable cuisine and a stunning skyline made for an unforgettable evening. To top off the celebration, the Happy Anniversary dessert was a delightful surprise. Not only was it visually appealing, but the taste was equally impressive. The chefs showcased their creativity with a dessert that was not only delicious but also a fitting end to our special occasion. The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced our experience, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, making us feel pampered throughout the evening. In conclusion, LA Prime at the Westin Bonaventure is a culinary gem in downtown Los Angeles. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines mouthwatering dishes with a stunning view and impeccable service, look no further. I highly recommend LA Prime for any special occasion or a memorable dining experience.Parking: If you dine at the hotel, you can use the Valet even if they say they are full.

You're paying for the view. The food was very good but not exceptional. The service was good but not outstanding. The prices are high. The view was very good but the revolving lounge was being refurbished. A complimentary birthday was served and very nice.

Came here 20 min before 10pm because on maps it says they close at 12am. Everyone saw us and pretty much ignored us instead of being HUMAN and letting us know that they were closed. Will not return to even try. Service was horrible.

Always a great meal at a place with a great vibe. My date chose the crab cake appetizer as her entree and decided on the asparagus and the mashed potatoes for her sides. She said it was the best crab cake she had ever had. I had the filet and it was also perfect.

The service was great with Mark and Lorenzo. The Mac and cheese were the best we have ever had. I usually stay away from ribeye because I like my own grilled meal but this one was really good. Definitely coming back for special occasions.

I went here for the first time for Valentine's Day and I was not disappointed. Ambience: It's a very romantic atmosphere. The views from the 35th floor and the quietness really make it feel intimate. I would recommend this for a special date, anniversary, or birthday. Service: The service was good and our server was quite attentive. He gave us some suggestions based on what we wanted. No complaints here! Food Consensus: The menu has many steak and seafood options. They have a great selection of appetizers and drinks as well. My boyfriend and I had the Seabass, Filet Mignon, Oysters, Lobster Bisque, and Loaded Mash Potatoes. I loved both the filet mignon and the seabass. The flavors were incredible and it was cooked perfectly. I did like the lobster bisque but I have had better ones. The loaded yukon potatoes were amazing. I would absolutely recommend getting a steak/seafood entree and the mashed potatoes citrusy and sweet. I forgot the names of the drinks we got but they were also fantastic. Value for Money: The prices are definitely up there. Prices for entrees range from about $60-$100. I think that the quality of the food and the views made it worth it. Again, perfect place for that special occasion.

I am writing this review based on one visit. They truly serve great quality food. The seabass was a great balance of tender, but not undercooked. While the lobster bisque was not quite as full of flavor as those in other similar establishments, it got a few points here as it contained some small pieces of lobster. Excellent loaded mashed potatoes. The wait was incredibly long and exhausting. In the 3 hours we were at the restaurant, most of the time was spent waiting. Within those 3 hours, we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our entrees and sides. I understand they were backed up due to the holiday, but I have been to other restaurants on such holidays before, and while they are also busy, those establishments manage to turn things around in a much faster and more reasonable timeframe. The service was good, but the staff were clearly busy and not able to come by as regularly. The views could be amazing, but it depends what seat they can put you in. Note that while you can request a certain seat in the reservation, they might not be able to accommodate (such as in our case). We might return for the food and to see what it's like to dine here on a non-holiday.

We were so disappointed with our trip to the LA prime. The Food was over priced and arrived cold. The French onion soup was so spicy, as were the Brussel sprouts. The service was less than attentive... It was almost an hour in between courses. We would not go back..

My family enjoyed our meal and the views of DTLA from the elevated restaurant. Stakes were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our waitress was personable professional and prompt. Highly recommend this establishment.

I really forgot how good the food and the service was at LA Prime. Had a small BD dinner for 8. Called Houston's (only 1 large - 6+ party per night ?). Called LA Prime - no problem, requested nice table (they're all nice)- no problem, can I bring Balloons- no problem, can I bring flower arrangements- no problem. Parking is only $11 w/ dinner validation (parking in DTLA and be $30-50 easy). Food was wonderful and service was FABULOUS (Thanks Mark Z). Dinner at LA Prime and after dinner drinks in the bar 1 level below (you know the one that rotates 360). On the 35th floor with beautiful views of DTLA. Perfect Evening !! Great spot for special occasions. Standard 20% gratuity included with larger party's . Sides are shareable !

Expensive, but worth it.Update 2/3/24. Food / cooking quality has diminished substantially. My wife and i order steaks. Expensive steaks. They both arrived over cooked (she requested rare, I requested medium rare). We got replacements very quickly (good). Mine was overcooked again, and hers was physically cold to the touch. The steaks were seasoned not at all and flavorless. A real bummer. This has been a favorite spot and now is one to avoid.
