I paid $60 for very hard , almost unchewable beef. A crockpot on low simmer works wonders for 2 -4 hours to get your meat tender and delicious. My friend was annoyed that the instrumental of Kid Laroi's song "Stay" constantly played on loop ? I just wanted my drinks after eating tons of injera because the meat was terrible. We finished half the meal before we got our beveragesParking: If there's a will, there's a way !

the street parking was free on a Sunday when i went. interior was dimly lit with tasteful paintings and pieces of art hanging on the walls. it was my first time eating Ethiopian food and the server was very patient with my questions. we ordered the veggie sambusa, which was flavorful and crispy-hot from the kitchen. beware that the green sauce it came with was much spicier than i expected. the star of the night was the veggie utopia. our server poured our lamb and chicken tibs into the middle of the huge circular platter of veggie utopia. very delicious and nice.

Today I went to Little Ethiopia with my boyfriend. It is actually a street with many restaurants, bars, and specialty shops. It was my first time to try Ethiopian food. E took me to eat at Lalibela. It was very dark and quiet. There were still many tables before closing time, and there was only one waiter, but his attitude was very good and he greeted us quickly.First, I tried their Ethiopian spiced tea. I ordered one cold and one hot. The cold drink reminded me of the popular Kangfu tea in the past. It has a strong taste and a sweet aftertaste, much like licorice. The cold one has a lighter flavor. ,not so obvious. As an appetizer, I ordered the first Sambusa crispy pie on the menu, $4.5 each, lentils flavor, I am not familiar with lentils, its taste is very neutral, the texture is like mung beans, not too sandy, and the crust is crispy , coupled with their green sauce, seasoned with jalapeno and cilantro, it is fragrant and spicy, highly recommended. The main dish is Veggie combo, which is available on almost every table. Injera is topped with various beans and vegetables, and is eaten by pinching the bread with your hands. The Injera is sponge-like and is said to be gluten-free. Yes, after fermentation, it tastes a bit like sourdough bread. The various beans had interesting flavors, each seasoned differently, the kale was on the sour side and the curry potatoes had a mild curry flavor. We also ordered Kitfo with raw beef, which is usually eaten raw, but they can also cook it a little, seasoned with chili powder, various spices and cheese. I recommend everyone to try it.The overall experience is very good. There are many restaurants in the entire area to try. It was my first time to try Sobian cuisine and I really liked their injera pancakes. I would like to try them again next time.

Great food with a lot of vegetarian options, including some I have not seen elsewhere. They were very accepting of our small children.

First time in this spot. The server was helpful and helped us navigate the menu. She taught us what each component of the dish were and how to eat them. It was a welcoming and warm dining experience.

If you're craving Ethiopian food and amazingly sweet service, this is your perfect spot! I have never been disappointed when I go there..and I go there a lot! My favorite items in the menu are lamb awaze tips with veggie combo! The lamb is simply the BEST! It's freshly made with the perfect amount of spices! (It's not directly in the menu but you can order it). Also always ask for extra awaze sauce for the generous portion of injera you will get in your order. You can thank me later! lol In this visit, I also ordered the shiro and it was delish(I always request to add jalapeño inside for a little kick). Shiro is a a soup made of chickpeas and spices! It is THE perfect dish for the cold weather. It is brought out freshly made, boiling in a small pot! You can ask for the shiro to be made with olive oil or kebe(the traditional butter). I chose olive oil to satisfy my lighter appetite. The bathrooms are clean and newly renovated. The restaurant has plenty seating for a small or large groups. There's also plenty of space for private conversations to take place.

Never tried Ethiopian food and was very excited too and this restaurant came highly recommended online. I ordered the bozeno shiro. It was just okay. Not bad but not great. Just tasted like ground beef in a generic sauce. The injera bread was great though, very nice and unique texture/flavor. I'll come back to try the veggie utopia which seems to be the most popular dish, but I wouldn't order what I got again
