Love this restaurant! The look, feel and atmosphere truly make this an iconic LA restaurant. My wife thinks it’s been than Katz Deli in New York and I don’t disagree. I got the #10 - Pastrami and Swiss Cheese Russian Style Dressing and my wife got the Pastrami and Chopped Liver with Russian Style Dressing. Both excellent sandwiches. Love how they cut the pastrami thick and not shaved thin. We got a side of Cole slaw and potato salad. Both had a little sweetness to them, delicious....read full review
Heard it gets busy but it was not too busy for Monday lunch rush. Ordered a number 1 and could not finish it despite being super yummy. Mom and Pop dinner feel and the service was excellent and attentive.This is definitely a special treat sandwich when you're dying for some meat.Will definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: Had lots of dairy-free options which was a bonus.

Amazing pastrami and wonderful service. Had #54 in 19 style (corned beef/pastrami on rye with Russian dressing, Swiss and coleslaw) and it was excellent. Admittedly, I will try a plain pastrami sandwich with a little mayo and mustard next time and I think I will like that even more. Portions are huge and you could probably split a sandwich, small fries with another and be pretty happy with it.Service is very nice and the interior is pleasantly old fashioned.
