As much as I like supporting small start up businesses. I have tried this place few time and will give them one more chance. I think they need to figure out that customer service and food consistency is extremely important. They do have some good dishes, the aash is good but couple of times they forgot to include the kashk, and I was not about to drive back, very annoying. I tried their Kokoo Sabzy few time, unfortunately their recipe is NOT consistent. Couple of times it was way too salty!!!! after I told them their only response was “this time is better you should try it again.”

I LEFT IRAN WHEN I WAS 12 YEARS OLD IN 1978. UNFORTUNITLY 1978 WAS THE LAST TIME I EAT MY GRANDMOTHERS COOKINGSHE MADE MY FAVORIT STEW, OVER THE YEARS MY MOTHER MY SISTER AND FINALLY MY WIFE MADE MY FAVORIT STEW BUT NONE OF THEM TASTED LIKE MY GRANDMOTHERS STEW. UNTILL FOURTY SOME YEARS LATER, FIRST TIME TRIED SAME STEW AT LAZIZ GRILL, FIRST SPOON FIRST TASTE OF THE SAME STEW TOOK ME BACK TO ME BACK TO MY GRANDMOTHERS KITCHEN. I REALIZED THAT LADIES AT LAZIZ GRILL ARE FROM SAME AREA OF NORTHERN REGION AS MY GRANDMOTHER.I CONSIDER MYSELF A VERY LUCKY PERSON TO KNOW TWO BEAUTIFUL GIFTED LADIES ARE WITH IN MINUTES AWAY FROM ME AND I CAN GET MY FAVORIT STEW. A GIFT FROM HAVEN TO US ATLEAST THEY ARE GIFT TO ME. I AM GREATFUL AND THANK YOU LADIES.

We live in Orange County and happened to be in LA. We checked ratings of Persian restaurants and came across Laziz as one of the highest rating. We tried the food and it was EXCELLENT. Great hospitality by the owner. We highly recommend Laziz.

I am new to both Iranian Cuisine and Los Angeles, and I stumbled across this place while wandering down Westwood. Decided to check it out, as trying new cuisines was on my bucket list for my LA vacation. I got a couple of items to go, and took them back to where I was staying. Everything I tried was absolutey delicious! I also liked that the packaging was sturdy, and it held up to both a bumpy bus ride, and sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. The people who worked there were also incredibly friendly, and knowledgable about everything. I cannot wait to come back, when I visit LA again!

Laziz Grill is one of our favorite to go places for delicious, home made, Persian food. Not only is the food very good, but the owners are wonderful people who are hard working and very friendly. We've been buying their food for many years, starting when they were working out of a local Persian market. Now that they have their own store front, we love ordering for pickup. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

The koobideh sandwhich was unreal!! It was like a bahn mi but persian. The beef was juicy and well seasoned. We also got a yogurt dip that was great with the rice plates. I highly recommend this place as a casual dining spot.
