Hello S.

Food was tasty. Biscuit sandwich was a good breakfast. High quality eggs and tasty sausage patty. 4 stars on food 3 stars on ambience 2 stars service (staffs seem to hate their lives there)

I have accidentally found the greatest toast in all of America. I was here to meet some friends for an event and thought I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered the avocado toast thinking it would be an unremarkable snack. Have you ever experienced something so above and beyond expectation you wonder if you’re on a hidden camera show? This toast is that good. Toppings were fresh, seasoning was on point, and the toast was perfectly soft but toasty. Also ordered the Michelle Wi which lemonade and black tea. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, nice patio and neighborhood parking nearby. Would it be rude if I ordered another toast? Actually considering it.

Lemon Poppy made some changes a number of months ago (maybe a year!? I can’t remember how long it’s been). It’s been an amazing spot long before those changes, but is even better now. Amazing food, drinks, AND atmosphere tucked back on a quiet part of Verdugo Road behind Eagle Rock Blvd. Great spot and near our studio. Will keep coming here for years / as long as they’re around!

This is a wonderful spot for a Saturday morning breakfast/ brunch. I ordered the Flapjack and fried chicken plate. I was pleasantly surprised by the spiciness in the syrup dipping sauce. It paired nicely with the slightly savory flapjack and perfectly seasoned chicken.

Quaint sunny space that serves very fresh salads and sandwiches, pastries and coffee as well. Very relaxing, chill service you don't want to leave. I'll go back anytime I find myself in area.

I actually didn't eat her but the lady in front was so nice I have to write this review. I don't know the lovely lady's name but if I saw her again I'd give her a big hug. I was picking up an order and she gave me a coffee on the house. Let me tell you when you're having a bad day it only takes one act of kindness to help your day get better. I wish that angel the best yes she just gave me free coffee but it's the little things that make everything.

We loved our meal here at Lemon Poppy Kitchen. I miss a good Italian polenta with marinara, but this Mamaliga (crispy fried polenta with red peppers, pork belly, fried egg and feta & Monterey Jack) far surpassed my polenta experience heretofore. The Cali Scramble (cremini mushrooms, spinach, onions, Swiss cheese, garlic-thyme butter) was excellent as well. But the shining star was the toast--never had better focaccia, butter & jam. The coconut banana bread was a bit dry but tasty. Would've been great with a glass of fresh milk. Our servers were wonderful. We ate out on the patio along with a few other parties and seemed to be in good company. Keep it up, Lemon Poppy Kitchen!

I ordered delivery from this place quite a bit a couple years ago during lockdown. I was in the area and decided to dine in. Upon arriving parking was pretty easy as it’s located in a plaza. Upon entering there is a sign that’s says “Please Wait To Be Seated.” I stood near the door for quite some time and the staff (a girl behind the counter), more specifically the main waiter (heavy set Caucasian guy with red hair) walked past me at least three or four times without uttering a word. I start looking around a bit confused as I thought I was doing something wrong. A CUSTOMER approached me and asked me if I needed any suggestions or help with the menu before the staff even acknowledged me. I asked her if I needed to order at the counter and then have a seat? (as there is a sign that says the contrary.) She said she didn’t know but the place is pretty chill (Um, okay). I went to the counter and stood there and the gentlemen finally approached as if he didn’t want to take my order or I was at the wrong place. He gave me a menu and told me to have a seat anywhere, again, contrary to the sign. His whole demeanor was rude as if he didn’t want to be there or serve me. The service could use some serious work, perhaps friendlier and more welcoming staff. The girl (same one behind the counter) who help put my order in was nice once I sat down. Once my food arrived it was pretty good and hot. The gentlemen then came around after I finished my meal and asked if I needed anything else. I told him no. I had to ask for my check and then he had the audacity to ask for a tip. I hope he’s not the manager. I will not be returning or recommending this place.

Food was amazing. Had the Cali scramble and the fried chicken and pancakes. The guy who greeted us at first was very nice. After that, the service was sub par. Food got there and we didn’t have silverware. Then the waitress never came back to check on us. I asked for a coffee refill and she forgot. Had to ask someone else afterwards.Maybe it was just of off day for them. Food wise, fantastic. Would definitely return.

We love this place! The food is great. The service is impeccable and they even bring your dog ? a water bowl so they can drink. I 100% recommend their biscuit with their house jam.
