We needed ice cream post a nearby late-night pizza slice. We needed it to be near the metro station. And we needed it to be open! Little Damage fulfilled all three of these requirements one mid-week evening after a nearby event in DTLA.The atmosphere is cool...gothy decorations and vibe with a few creative flavors on hand. Everything comes with a free topping. (at least the small size we ordered did.)One of us got Pink Vanilla, and the other Black Horchata. Only 2 other flavors were available (a vegan chocolate and an oreo based one Kiki and Cream). So there really wasn't a lot to choose from. Also It's a couple weeks after we were there and, although it says flavors rotate, it's the same menu up on their Instagram...so I'm not sure how often they do rotate...with only 4 flavors total, it seems like they might want to rotate more, or offer more flavors...honestly none of the offered flavors were all that exciting...but we were there so tried a couple. It's soft-serve ice cream so it has that froyo vibe to it. Both flavors were fine. I mean you can't really go wrong with ice cream, sort of like with pizza. I'm not sure I would write home about either the Black Horchata or the Pink vanilla as the flavors in both were pretty mild. But was a good enough sweet treat that checked off the boxes for what we needed.

I came here for the first time, and I was really impressed! I've had black ice cream before, but the horchata was really sweet and savory. Plus, the vegan chocolate had such a unique taste to it I actually think I would prefer vegan over a non vegan chocolate. It's a small joint but great street view of downtown. Be here or be square

When you're having drinks downtown, it's always good to have somewhere close for a sweet treat. The walk to Little Damage was under half a mile. The ice cream felt earned by arrival. The shop has a spooky theme and every week an ice cream dyed black has a different flavor. This night it was French toast crunch. Also, I don't like waffle cones but this is the best waffle cone I've ever had. I would go back and I would definitely try the weekly flavor again. The staff was great and he happily answered every question I had about flavors.

went to little damage to see what the hype was about on this little ice cream shop. we ordered our chocolate ice cream along with charcoal black cones (which were delicious) and put toppings on them. they were so good! little damage also closes at midnight so it's open pretty late the inside of the shop was colorful and there's neon lighting. will try to come here more often!

I found this place on google maps and it looked pretty interesting. The ice cream looked aesthetically pleasing for a picture but other than that it was okay. The ice cream cone didn’t taste fresh and the ice cream tasted like freezer burn. The ice cream also didn’t taste very creamy. I recommend it as a one time purchase place.

Charcoal soft serve is interesting, but the real draw to me was the photo booth with soft serve in hand.

Small place. Got the Horchata ice cream flavored. It didn't really taste like horchata. It's a cool novelty to have black ice cream. The man that helped us was kind I'm happy I tried it, but it's not a place I'll continue to come to myself. I would bring family to give it a try and get their instagram photos.
