Boy, has this place tanked. We've been coming here since it opened, come less often now, but the service is still nice. The banh mi has become overpriced, smaller in quantity, and both baguettes were stale. Very sad.

Love the Lokal Dac Biet Banh Mi (Old Skool) and their milk tea with boba. They always hit the spot! Everything is super consistent and tasty. Their milk tea boba is actually just as good as a boba shop. I got less sweet and less ice — it was perfect. There are two types of Dac biet you can get, one has more toppings like pork floss and more meat while the other is a more basic Dac biet. Read the description before you order to make sure you get the one you want. Chicken is also good. They have other food items too like sandwiches and pancakes. I just haven’t checked them out because I always get the banh mi — and honestly I don’t think I will. Nothing wrong on their part but the banh mi is too good and always exactly what I want. Most of the banh mi comes with mayo, pate, or both. They’re not always listed out when you’re ordering from an app. They allow modifications so just make sure you let them know somehow (either denote it or write it out in the online order text box).

Great spot for breakfast (or lunch) -- the Breakfast Bahn Mi is especially good. Over the weekend it can take a little bit for orders to come out (understandably!), so ordering online can be helpful if you're in a hurry.

Chicken bacon ranch sandwich so good! The bread was nice and soft. I loved my orleans iced coffee! Only thing was the forgot to add the avocado to my sandwich I will definitely be returning to try the Banh Mi! Staff was so friendly.

Came for the sandwich, got the sandwich. Look, I came here an hour before closing so MAYBE that has something to do with it, but the ends/butt of the bread were extremely stale. Overall, the pickled daikon and carrots were very good. The KBBQ beef is also tasty, a bit dry. Needed more Mayo. Will be back.

We love the Bahn Mi sandwiches, esp breakfast. A big factor of a good sandwich is the bread, and Lokal knows it - we asked if they'd sell the bread to us, but alas the cannot.! Lattes and cappuccinos are delish too.Their breakfast potatoes are so good. Slices of potatoes, sort of sautéed.Indoor and outdoor seating.Only negative things: Sometimes it's just too chilly inside when its cold or rainy outside. And, If you need the restroom, must go to the Indonesian restaurant next door. Again if it's raining and chilly , this can be uncomfortable.

The bam mi sandwich was delicious, the flavor was really good. The service was awesome!

Great food but twice I've ordered a turkey pesto sandwich online and they just forget to put the pesto, which is kinda the whole point of a turkey PESTO sandwich. If you want any specific add ons/adjustments to your order, just don't do it online. Other than that the sandwiches are gas so yeah.

I had the mushroom bahn mi. It was very good, love the bread and the slaw. Also had the cauliflower sandwich which was good but the mushroom bahn mi had more flavor.

We love local sandwiches, but they don't really update their menu on all of the delivery sites. That being said, we do love their food and their drinks. Great customer service and fabulous food.

We go once or twice a week The banh mis are really good. Some of the other sandwiches are better than others but they're all quite nice; I really enjoy the Italian Job 2.0. I don't do coffee or smoothies so can't speak to them, but they sell well apparently. Cheery staff, fast service, indoor and outdoor tables.Parking: Sometimes I park on Motor north of National if the lunch rush is big.

Hmm, 3-ish stars rounded up. The things that I tried here were just okay. Friendly staff though. --------------- Vietnamese iced coffee: had some of the toasted taste that I like in Vietnamese iced coffee, but none of the flavor nuances. Not remarkably strong either. BBQ pork banh mi: tender and tasty bbq pork pieces but the baguette had a rather tough chew to it. Slightly too heavy on the mayo as well. Peanut butter cookie: deliciously chewy but could've had a bolder peanut butter flavor. --------------- Ambiance-wise I can see why this cafe is a staple to people living in the neighborhood. Chill environment and I dig the decor here. Staff are pretty sociable. Overall not sure if it's worth the drive heading here though.
