Isn't $62 for just 9 pieces of beef too expensive?

Ordered Package #1 & it was more than enough for two people especially with all the banchan. Everything was super tasty & the staff was very friendly. Would come back here & order dishes a la carte if just with one other person.

Did not realize this was Mapo Galmaegi. Iykyk. You have got to get galmaegi. For those first timers to do pork, you will think youre eating beef. Portions are great and I had trouble finishing. Worth the visit. Weekly if youre all about that bbq.

This used to be my favorite kbbq spot but the quality and quantity has really gone down. I used to come here all the time before Covid and prices seem to be getting steeper with less food. It's now on the pricier end with just average food. A huge disappointment. The only upside is that there is never any wait for a table.

Wow this place has gone downhill since my visit a few years ago. They have different combo options than the ones listed in the photos here. The cheapest one ($99) is a mix of low-end cuts like bulgogi, pork belly and chadol. They used to include the marinated prime rib but not anymore. There's nothing here that justifies choosing it over the more popular spots now they've updated the combos. Seriously feeling cheated out of my money. Banchans were decent but that's it.

One of my go to spots for kbbq in ktown. Feels authentic. The service is busy in a good way. Very impressive. They do all the cooking for you. It's Smokey indoors and you're gonna walk out smelling. But that's part of the vibe and experience. Good quality overall. No more ayce, but enjoy magal taste.

Located in a popular 8th Street shopping center in Koreatown Magal is a solid non-AYCE KBBQ restaurant. There is Valet parking in the rear which is a positive in the hard to park neighborhood. However, since there is a row of restaurants in the shopping center the lot fills up quickly. The menu promotes BBQ meat combos which include Banchans, corn, stews, and egg. We ordered the beef and pork combo 4 and there was plenty of food for four people. Service was good as they did the grilling. Magal is loud and is popular for young drinkers, coupled with the smokey atmosphere it's a very casual vibe. Lots of soju and beer flowing throughout.

Awesome kbbq spot. Meat quality was solid. Service was great. Ban chan was great. Love the scrambled eggs! Menu options were more diverse than other places, in terms of non-bbq meat options. We will definitely go back. Might be our new go-to!

We ordered the Magal special combo and got a lot of meat: pork belly, pork jawl, brisket, marinated galbi, steak with soy bean soup and other side dishes. However, their meat was not seasoned properly and the fire grill was weak so the meat was all pretty soggy. The service was good even with only two servers with the whole restaurant. The ambiance was for meet ups with friends, coworkers or family. I personally would not come back here again because the meat quality was not impressive compare to other kbbq spots. The price for the premium quality was around $120 including tips. I don't feel satisfied with this kind of pricing for this kind of meat quality.

A great kbbq spot that has a rustic laid back ambience. The service was great, we offered the servers shots is soju and they happily drank and joked with us! Food: opted for the beef course for 4 people with add ins. There was actually SO much food, I'm surprised I got full. I was expecting to still have an appetizer. The meats are fully grilled by the staff and they grill it to charred perfection. They have a unique corn pancake I've never seen before. I would go back just for this item. The volcano fried rice was a special treat as the servers got competitive and made a heart and star shape! Soju: they have my favorite two flavors, green grade and Jinro fresh (blue bottle). The price is a little pricey at $15 a bottle.I would definitely visit again when in LA!
