Second time here, first was for a good friend's birthday. Had a great time since she rented out the patio and the owner was present to help with wine bottle selections. This time, I came for date night with my husband and our dog. We were the first to arrive on a Tuesday afternoon around 4:30. Since we were first to arrive, and they have something like 30 tables open, we figured we could take our pick of the tables in order to get comfortable with our dog. The servers did not allow that, so we went for the communal table. I am also in food service, so I understood, no biggie. Then I wanted to order a bottle of wine and the server knew absolutely nothing. I don't expect the wait staff to know every single bottle by any means, but if I'm coming to a wine bar, the server should have an idea on how to describe wines. When I finally picked a couple bottles she had tried, she said "oh those are really good" and had nothing else to say. Not one note, or description. She even called the bottles "lambruscos" when they were in fact, not lambrusco bottles. Whatever, we got our bottle, and our delicious food, we were good. Until two gentleman sat next to us and reeked of cigarettes. We were downwind and bathing in their smell. We packed up our dog, our 4 food dishes, and our bottle of wine, and attempted to move. At this point, most of the 2 tops were taken and all that was left was 3/4 tops or a teeny tiny 2 top table wedged between other occupied 2 tops that would not have accommodated our food, wine, and dog. So I went to set up at one of the 6 or so open 3/4 tops and was again ushered away. At this point I was really disappointed, we came to have a nice evening, and there was no accommodation or foresight in the service. Only to discover they auto grat 20% at the end. No wonder they don't accommodate their guests, or make an effort to learn their stock... As I said, I've been in service for years, and this was the first time I ever wanted to tip below 20% since I know how tough the job can be. Because of the terrible service, we won't be returning. It's sad because we love the wine selection and food, but will not tolerate feeling unwelcome or uncomfortable. Sigh.

I went to Melody on a recent Thursday to listen to some music promoted on social media and to try out the tacos by Metztli, which in the instagram photos looked ok.My experience as a Mexican, was awful, I was served tacos by a white chef who asked me if I needed a fork! The tacos were $5.50 each and they were the small size blue corn tortilla. The recipe in the tacos, was similar to asking a 5yr old kid to make you a taco and prepare them however they thought would be cool. There was no real flavor, there was no meat in a barbacoa taco, it was just very disappointing to eat your expensive tacos in less than a minute each.Regarding the atmosphere. I was surprised, but it was an all white people night. So I wen to eat tacos served by a white guy who offered me a fork, for to tiny expensive tacos, in a night full of old white dudes, served by an all white staff.I've been to melody before for a wine or a beer and it was fine. But this time. I mean the cultural appropriation was hilarious.Well done Melody.Parking: Parking around is difficult.

Food is decent. 3$ taco was ok size for me cos I wasn't hungry but if you are a taco lover, their taco is smaller than street taco. Service was kinda off putting. They have three different bar stools seating. Me and my friend moved because honestly seating at their bar was not a vibe. Walls are in the way and bartender was not very welcoming. At the end when they were closing our tab, server was like "20% auto grat is already added" which I was surprised specially on a Tuesday night. I asked them if that was a thing they do for single person and said yes. LMAO. I've been to that place twice before tonight and that never happened. This place is a trip. I work and manage restaurants and guest complains to me when 20% auto grat is added to 6 or more people. And when they complain that sounds ridiculous to me. At Melody, I sat at the bar with my friend, and we both "had" to pay 20% auto grat after I ordered 2 tacos and 2 beer! I would've tip 20% anyways but it felt very weird to just had to experience such thing. Lol. So many other bar you can check out rather than this! Should've gone to Highly Likely. Tuesgays promotion sounds like gaybait advertising for bad service.

Guacamole, fish and shredded steak taco, and the steak quesadilla were amazing. Wasn't a fan of the potato taco (too salty for me, could use some pickled onion for a little balance), table next to me loved it, though! The sparkling wine is amazing. Friendly staff, got a bit busy when I went. Y'all did great lol breathe and move swiftly. Don't forget to check on your tables.Lovely atmosphere and night overall. Definitely going to return to try more of the menu.

I went to Melody on my last night in LA with my husband and had an extraordinary time!We were seated outside at a cozy candlelit table. We ordered a bottle of white burgundy and the skirt steak quesadilla from the resident pop-up taqueria and let me tell you that this was by far one of our top dining experiences! They have a really great wine list of so many great things to choose from. We ordered one quesadilla to start and inhaled it because we could not get enough of it. We ended up ordering a second one ?Cute, cozy, affordable spot for a date night, solo date, or friend date! Highly recommend ❤️ can’t wait to come back next time we’re in LA

Outdoor space is ok but staff is pretty rude and they over charged us for our order! Didn’t realize until after.

Melody is a well known Pop-Up Hotspot in the heart of Silverlake. They always host well "vetted" chefs to promote their menus alongside their alcohol selection. Normally, they have a live dj playing chill house or downtempo. They do charge a 4% employee benefit on the tabs so be aware and not unpleasantly surprised when the check comes, because they really provide a good service. So far, parking has been generous on the streets close by. They do get super crowded on busy nights and some well known chefs.

Nice atmosphere & the pros end there. Hidden “ on premise fee”, terribly designed virtual/ QR code menu, rude servers - is giving elitest/ exclusionary vibes…

Good wine, servers aren't very nice/ kinda rude & watch you like a hawk when the tip screen comes up. $35 bottle of wine doubles in price to $70 for an "on premise" fee. I get that bottles are more expensive when buying in a restaurant but this caught me off guard. Speaking of the menu, there are hidden sections in the UI (where you can see the full bottle price) & the fonts are inconsistent which lead me buying a cider when I meant to buy a beer. Decent ambiance. Won't be going back.Update: Yelp moderators keep removing my Question asking for the owners to explain the $35 "on premise" wine bottle fee. Pretty fair question that pertains to every guest who purchases a bottle at this wine bar. Buyer beware

All around the perfect place for wine + small bites! It was my boyfriend and I’s first time trying natural wine, and we were not disappointed by anything at Melody. First, this place looks like a cute house from the outside, and the inside had the best chill vibes. We told our server this was our first time trying natural wine and wanted to try an orange one, and she was SO kind and knowledgeable. She gave us 3 options at our preferred price point and the wine we ended up choosing was delicious! We also ordered some food to share and everything was so so good. We raved about this place after we left, I loved it and I’m definitely coming back!!
