I was happy to hear My 2 Cents was back being that they were closed for some time, but this was far from what I expected. I don't know how it's being run now, but the times I've been there and the food was excellent, Chef Alisa was in the kitchen. Today, she was not there and excellence was not on the menu. I truly supported Black Owned Business today because I did not get $72.88 worth of value or service this Sunday. We ordered from the Brunch menu and none of the items were any good. Why you ask? The fried "catfish" was swai, the baked eggs were cold, the waffle was overcooked and they served it with cold, stiff butter and syrup that I had to ask for. Also, the fried chicken had no flavor without hot sauce. The shrimp & grits, their signature dish, paled in comparison to what I remember and it was lukewarm to boot. Mom and I were the only two people in the restaurant as it had just opened, so there's no reason anything should be forgotten. The water and lemonade we ordered never came. Long story short, I suggest you call and ask if Chef Alisa is there before you go because that's what I'll be doing from now on. I have no idea who the chef was today but he needs to go. He can't cook for me ever again. I hope she sees this and makes the needed changes. I hate to see a good restaurant fail due to negligence. And that's my two cents. lol

I love, love, love My 2 Cents! Food is consistently delicious, staff is so nice, and it’s wonderful to have some gluten free dishes to choose from. They even have some gluten free cake! ❤️ So grateful for this place!

We had four or five different plates, and everyone was excellent. The service was great and we talked to the owner several times who made sure we were well taken care of. She is the one that makes this place happen. She even gave us a complementary piece of Excellent strawberry cake. Can’t wait to go back there again when we can.

My 2 Cents is just down the road from our AirBnB and we were drawn to the wonderful smell of food wafting while we walked by. Finally had a chance to actually try the food and we all loved it. They have a few vegan options and I tried the Plantain and Callaloo Tacos (sweet and savory), Sweet Potato Crumble (just mouth watering) and Braised Greens (simple, exactly as I like them), all really good!! My friends had the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Fried Green Tomatoes, and they couldn’t stop raving about them. Took home some Sweet Potato Pie and it was soooooo tasty and filling! Good music was playing and while not a fine dining place it’s cute and has a great vibe. Staff were wonderful too, definitely going to go back for more more more!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!
very delicious and great taste in the food and dessert, especially the strawberry cake( phenomenal ). Wonderful customer service from the waitress and the chef. 10/10 would definitely recommend to everyone!
