Love this place! Probably the best Thai food in town. Parking on the street is not too bad. Prices are fair and the food is amazing! Wonderful and friendly staff!

We visited LA and decided to give this restaurant a try. Based on the review, the restaurant seems decent. You cannot really go wrong with any Thai restaurants around Thai town area. That's what I thought, but unfortunately Palms Thai restaurant disappointed me.Vibe : the restaurant gives a vibe of food court or canteen. The music was quite loud. It forces everyone to raise their voices up.Service : Not bad. Nothing memorable.Food : Unfortunately this part was far from good. I order dishes that are always decent, hard to mess them up : Laab, Tom Kha, pork jerky. (I am Thai, by the way ?)Tom Kha Chicken was super sweet and overly salty. Laab was also salty and had very little taste of lime in it. It also contained weird smoky flavor in it. Pork jerky wasn't bad at all. However, the sauce came with it was also very salty and I'm not sure why there was shrimp paste in it. Overall, every dishes I ordered were salty. If you are trying to watch your sodium intake. This place is not for you. The best thing on the table was nice fresh cold water! This is by far the worse Thai food we have tasted in the US, at least for those three dishes I ordered here.My husband and I ate a little less than half of the food and decided to leave them there. We did not want to take any of them home.

Absolutely hands down the BEST Thai food in Southern California. They have authentic Thai dishes but the one I get every time is the 91 with extra shrimp spicy. It is TO DIE FOR. Also the holy basil with ground beef is probably one of favorite all time dishes. You can't go wrong.

GREAT FOR BIG GROUPS, call in advance if you want to reserve a table for that! They have valet parking that's $5! I've been coming here for years and I mean years! I miss when the Elvis impersonator would do his sets and then they had a lady who sang jlo and early 2000s songs. It was super interesting. I haven't seen a performance here in years but I still come for the great food and service. Their curries are super good and I love their papaya salad and omg the egg rolls I love those.

Have been coming here for more than twenty years (back when Thai Elvis sang most nights). They don't take reservations, but frequently there is no wait at all. Friday and Saturday nights usually have a bit of a wait. Nice staff, good food. Parking can be a bit dicey in the area: that part of Hollywood Blvd continues to have encampments, and there are parking restrictions some nights. But fun, relaxed place.

Meh. it was just ok. Had the duck curry and there were a lot of conflicting flavors. Also the Holy Basil beef. Tasty sauce but beef was a bit dry and chewy. Wouldn’t return as there’s better options.

WASTE OF TIME IF THEY DON'T UPDATE INFORMATION ON THEIR YELP ACCOUNT. Please kindly update your restaurant hours, especially helpful to those that come and drive out of their way for dinner a dining experience. Thank you

The food was tasty but not worth all the hype. The service was slow and not attentive I had to try and catch someone's attention to order. Ambiance, there was none; due to all the tables just sholved together it was difficult to hold a conversation amongst the loud voices and the sound of plates and utensils clanging around.
