Came by this place last week, only had two drinks and stayed around a bit for the Kareoke. Got an email this morning from my credit card asking if the charge was correct because the tip was kinda high. Turns out the guy added an additional 5 bucks to my total as a tip. To future visitors, I’d keep an eye on your totals cuz if they do it on small tabs, I’m sure they’ll do it on large ones. It was kinda slow when I went, only about 4-6 people in the place. Doesn’t mean you should alter peoples checks to get your money.

I recently hosted an event here and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The staff is amazing, the ambiance is perfect for an intimate (<100 person) events, and the inclusive, queer-friendly environment made all our guests feel comfortable and at home.The booking process was unusually pleasant because their Events Manager is responsive, super friendly, and easy to work with. When I arrived early to set up, everyone was awesome and welcoming. And my guests loved it.I was also pleasantly surprised by how affordable the venue was. Given the high level of service, the exceptional quality of drinks, and the cool atmosphere of the bar, I expected the cost to be much higher.Overall, I was thrilled with the experience and plan to host more events there in the future. Huge thanks to the entire team at Oaks Hollywood!

We booked this bar/lounge for a 1920s themed Great Gatsby party. The venue couldn't have been more perfect with the velvet wallpaper and speak easy vibe. The stage fit a 5 piece swing band and the dance floor accommodated professional dance lessons. Camila, the owner, was so gracious assisting us with a Photo Booth and signature cocktails for our theme. She provided a fabulous venue and plenty of support to make our dream event come to life!

The Oaks is my favorite hidden spot in Hollywood. It's sumptuous decor and reasonably priced drinks set it apart from the many bars along Hollywood Blvd. The old fashioned they have on tap, it's amazing. The burlesque shows are inclusive and body positive, which is a rarity in LA. Friday nights are goth night and the DJs spin NEW music, not just the classics.

The best “off the beaten path” bar for folks of all stripes! They got burlesque shows that’ll knock your socks off and drink specials that’ll have you on the floor. With a nice patio, karaoke, and themed nights (my favorite are the Goth/Industrial Fridays) The Oaks Hollywood has quickly become my favorite bar in Los Angeles.

The place was beautiful but felt like it was missing something. A little bit of an eerie feeling inside but the best part of the place was the patio, although there was, what seemed to be, a bunch of trash in the corner. We got there at about 9 and left at 12, there had been only two other people in the place the entire night. It was very empty and the bartender said it is usually like that all the time. I do not necessarily want to pay $16 for a cocktail in an empty dive bar. Now for the real bummer... I did not only see one, but two cockroaches AT the bar. The first one ran across the bar top and the bartender tried to cover it up and act like nothing happened. I don't blame the bartender, but it's still disgusting. My partner is afraid of bugs so once we saw a second one coming at us, we could not get out of there quick enough!

What a great queer friendly space!! It's so clean, amazing music, the entertainment is always awesome. They have different events on different nights so check out the sites so see what's happening next but I've attending many times and it's always been fun. My absolute favorite is the drag show!! It's a must see,
