This place is so sick. I picked up my pizza and got to meet the owner. Super cool guy and the pizza was awesome. I had ordered a few pies for a small party. Everyone loved it.

Disclaimer: I'm from Detroit so I'm harsher than most native Angelenos when it comes to Detroit-style pizza. I ordered a small Detroit-style pizza and small order of buffalo wings for delivery. The pizza was just ok to me. They got the flavors down and the crust was cooked well... it was just a tad too thick for Detroit-style. Also, it could have used more cheese. It's fine not to be an exact replica of Buddy's, but when most Detroiters think of pizza, they think of Buddy's and while Buddy's outer edge is around the same thickness, the inner crust is about 1/4 inch thinner than Pizza Cafe LA. I've tried quite a few Detroit-style pizzas in LA and most don't have the same mouthfeel as Buddy's. For me, it's kind of a big deal. Pizza Parma in Thousand Oaks is the closest to Buddy's I've found. Also, my buffalo wings were soggy but I won't blame that on them. This is the second time I've ordered buffalo wings for delivery - the first time was from a different place - and both times I received soggy wings, so I guess they don't travel well in those delivery bags. Lesson learned. I'd give them another shot, but would try their NY or neopolitan style next time.

The best wings I've ever had in my life. No joke. Delicious pizza. Kindest owners. So grateful this is my neighborhood pizza joint.

I just hurt myself trying to finish the GF Detroit style... damn good pizza. I'm a "sauce man" and I would put there red sauce over pasta and bon appetit it; no questions asked. Great mozzarella (with that authentic salty milkiness) and quality toppings. If you're gluten free like me, this is the best pizza in LA hands down. Prior to my GF life, pizza was my favorite food group and I've eaten it all over. You can always tell a good pie by the components. There is a quality and style that goes into the pizza here. Canned sauce is disgusting and evident during the first bite at other shops. Once again, the sauce is great here. Park near Astro and walk over as that lot is not fun to try and get into or out of. I will be back

Solid pizza place! We got the hot honey pepperoni, a Detroit pizza, and buffalo wings. The crust was the standout in both cases. The Detroit pizza had those irresistible crispy edges, and the NY pizza's crust was really chewy and charred with that brick oven flavor. I personally prefer a bit more stability in the crust, but I would say it was juuust on the safe side of being called floppy. They say they make their dough fresh daily, and I definitely believe them as it was really fresh tasting. I'm a sucker for pepperoni cups as well, so that's major bonus points for me, Crispy, greasy, yum! The buffalo wings--they're a skip for me personally, but maybe they taste better when you eat there. We live really close though, so I'm not that confident that'd be true. They were really cold and mushy. Looking forward to trying some of their other pizzas! If you're a ranch-with-pizza eater like me, their ranch is very dill-forward, which was interesting.

Lot of hype about this place especially from the east coast people !!! Being from Boston I thought I should give this place a try ! The dough was nothing like what we are used to in east coast . The crust very doughy and the bottom was burnt!!! I would not go back here

So I came today, to try this pizza/wing joint. It's 7:17pm and the place looks open to me. I entered and was told by the cook the owner and cashier have left and the place is closed...what a joke. Hours say closed at 9pm. What kind of place is this? Lol...won't be coming to this place ever again. Message to the owner...pull it together! Whoever you are!!!

Great pizza, garlic knots rule, great service. Recommended! I love the stringy cheese when you grab a slice and the flavors are very rich and tasty.
