This was nearby our Airbnb so my sister and cousin and I decided to stop by for some caffeine. I got a cappuccino while they got a latte and a cortado and some kind of mousse-like dessert. It wasn't busy. A few people sitting in here on their laptops. The coffee was alright. Nothing special. They do have bagels here if you're looking for food. Parking is parallel but super easy to find.

Proper Coffee is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The coffee here is exceptional--rich, flavorful, and expertly brewed. Their diverse menu offers something for everyone, whether you prefer classic espresso drinks or unique seasonal creations. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to recommend something new to try. Their attention to detail and dedication to quality make Proper Coffee stand out. It's the perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. A must-visit for any coffee lover!

Gordon East almond milk latte and a hot Oatmilk latte. The 20 ounce iced latte was $4.52 with $.64 add-on for the almond milk. The medium 16 ounce is $4.34 with $.64 for oat milk. I would say those prices are fair considering other coffee shops are over five dollars these days. Everything tasted good, it was a nice atmosphere. The coffee shop has a good amount of seating and is very quiet for working. There is a small parking lot with free parking.

This place is essentially Starbucks. Incredibly disappointing.

Simply how it should be and no lengthy review needed.... when visiting properties with one of my relocation clients we had 45 minutes to kill and this nice coffee place was a 10-minute walk away. To my pleasant surprise the double espresso I ordered was bold, had plenty crema and was not bitter (you hear that Starbucks?). In hindsight I should have asked for a ceramic cup which no doubt would have made my review a ***** one. Nevertheless, Cristian was super courteous, quick and had the drink ready in less than one minute. The place itself is a neighborhood hangout but thankfully I did not notice any patrons that would be occupying their Real Estate for hours and hours which creates a nice and vibrant ambiance. Highly recommended but for the ones enjoying their drinks at the place, ask for a ceramic cup.

Westside-flation. High prices and low quality combine to make a truly mediocre experience.Coffee was meh. Atmosphere meh. Everything in paper/plastic cups even if you eat in.It's Starbucks but without the branding.

My visit to Proper Coffee in Los Angeles left me with mixed feelings, earning it a solid four stars. The location, conveniently nestled next to Hotel June, was a plus, making it an easy choice for those staying nearby. I stopped by around 7:30 am and was slightly disappointed not to see the extensive selection of pastries that others have raved about in their reviews. Perhaps it was an early morning issue, and they hadn't fully stocked up. Regardless, it might be worth considering for those seeking a wider variety of breakfast options. On the bright side, the regular drip coffee I ordered was quite good. It had a rich flavor that satisfied my caffeine cravings. However, the scone I paired with it was, unfortunately, just average at best. It lacked the standout quality that I had hoped for, and I believe there's room for improvement in the pastry department. The ambiance of Proper Coffee was inviting, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. This made it a comfortable place to enjoy my coffee, despite the early morning hour. The abundance of tables provides flexibility for different preferences, whether you prefer the cozy indoor setting or the fresh outdoor air. In conclusion, Proper Coffee is a solid choice for a good cup of coffee, and its proximity to Hotel June is a definite plus. While my visit may have fallen short on the pastry front, I'm optimistic that improvements can elevate the overall experience. If you're in the area and in need of a caffeine fix, Proper Coffee is worth a visit.

Great customer service and great coffee. Their pastry selection tends to fluctuate but there's always something good to eat too. Love spending morning working there, especially after the recent renovations. A very warm and welcoming environment. I'm slowly turning into a regular...

Good coffee. Attentive service. Very convenient parking inside the building, but a bit hard to find. To have to drive around in back by the June Hotel to find the entrance into the garage. On site toilets which are always clean.

I know it's a matter of taste, but my taste buds prefer this place. Best chai latte I've ever had. Really.

Mold covered my muffin, super gross. And when we asked, they said the baked goods had been sitting for a good couple days, so go at beginning of week when fresh or avoid. But they were very nice and refunded us fully. The coffee and other food we ordered seemed fine but who knows.

Great choice to stop for coffee! We stopped by for coffee and some quick breakfast.I got 5he nitro cold brew and my wife got the chai tea latte iced. We both got a lemon poppyseed scone.Everything tasted delicious. The service was very friendly and double checked the milk choice before making the drink.I would recommend the stop!

I appreciate how kind and friendly the staff can be. I order the same drink every visit and it is accurately made about 4 out of 5 times. I always order a large latte and I notice the cup is about 3/4 of the way full when handed to me, so it would be great to order a large and get a full cup. The prices are reasonable and the new interior design is shaping up nicely.
