after a photo shoot in UCLA, a friend recommended us to get our grub at Ramenya in Sawtelle. Had to park on a near street, and had to do a little walk to the shop. wait time is bearable. got a table for four and we were greeted by a welcoming host. we were recommended to get tantan ramen. however, we got more than that-we got daikon salad, shrimp fried rice, and 2 ramens. my favorite was the fried rice-i could eat those everyday. tantan ramen is delicious too. all in all, it was a great visit and a great meal. there will be a next time once we ever get lost in los angeles area.

I needed a place to hang out for a couple hours so I found a place to eat! A friend and I visited Ramenya over the weekend. Before checking out the place I looked at some Yelp! reviews and most on top are from my friends but their posts were outdated. I gave Ramenya a chance as it was local to where I needed to be. We ordered a ramen each and a couple of appetizers. I never had raw octopus with wasabi so I was curious to try. My friend isn't as adventurous as I am but she was willing to try and she actually liked it the appetizer. It does some with a slimy and tough to chew consistency but it pairs really well with the amount of wasabi they added, plus very good with beer. We added goyza to our order and they were different from other places I've had goyzas at. These were plump and very filling. The taste was great as well! My ramen was the Asianya tantan ramen. I noticed there was a whiteboard as you entered and that was the #1 choice. So I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it while adding another level of spiciness to it. I wished the spice level was more higher but maybe we can fix that another time. Overall we both enjoyed our meal. I arrived early and noticed how quickly the tables started to get filled. So arrive early! Parking: small private lot. neighborhood parking is also available on Barry and Barrington VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

Really good ramen for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend this spot for the food. It's a small restaurant in a strip mall and staff is friendly/service is good.

My family has been coming to this place since 1993. I just wanted to make a comment that the new front staff worker has been pretty rude and indifferent with greetings and interactions in the last couple of times we ordered from them. We might have to reconsider our future business with them. It's very disappointing.

Nicest folks. Consistently excellent. Ramen oishii (delicious). Stringbeans muy sabroso (excellent).

I love the Tenshin Ramen and Cha-Han. Home style Japanese and I come back regularly. Kind and attentive staff. Very clean.

Normally I don't eat much ramen because it's heavy, but the Surantan here was perfect (especially on a cold day). It's unique because the ramen is in the hot and sour egg drop soup, and I haven't seen that combo before! Who knew it was the combo I've been missing in my life. The service is quick and friendly, and the casual and homey vibes of this place feel comforting. Great place to come with friends (the tables inside are communal and close together)!

Found this spot last week when a storm passed by Los Angeles. It was all seats taken but I was able to do a take a take out. Wasn't really expecting something just something to eat when we got home. It was good. Unique flavor. I tried the miso and soy ramen.Today I brought the whole family we had a lot to eat I wanted to try the menu. We will be taking out some food for tommorow but I'm happy with the food.

Excellent a lot of choices. It takes you 10 minutes to 30 minutes and then another whatever minutes trying to figure out what you're gonna get but that's cool whatever yeah it's great and if you're spicy and need something spicy even better because you could breathe and then you realize how good the food is so great don't listen to me. What do I know ? Lol as always do what you want I don't care up to you, have a great day or not. I don't know. Maybe we'll go there as always see you later or not there don't care. Vic out ambience yeah it's very nice and deliveries even better especially since I've never been there I've only had delivered and it came hot. OK now I'm out.

I remember this place from years ago from my past when I was single and lived in Culver City. This place was originally at Olympic and Sawtelle and it is one of the OG Ramen shops prior to Tsujita,Tatsu, and Daikokuya. We were in WLA so we decided to stop by and order some of my favs. The menu has changed a bit but my favs were still on the menu with a lot more choices. This is a legit Japanese ramen shop but more like an Izakaya. My Ramen favs are the Negi, Mabo, and Egg Drop Tan Tan. I also like their fried rice dishes and the Tenshin bowl.

I had a korean tofu soup for lunch with friends. and also had raddish salad and radfish salad with mayo was really good. soup is good enough if you don't feel like going to Ktown just for that. Price is reasonable and have parking lot attached as well but limited.

Ramenya is one of my favorite ramen spots in LA! Everyone is friendly there, and they know their ingredients they put in each dish. They have lots of food items, including ramen, rice bowls, salads, and side dishes too! I like to get their basic ramen (chashu pork, green onion, bamboo shoots, and bean sprouts) with the glass noodles and salt base broth. I love how the soup has a nice pork flavor, not too salty. The glass noodles work rly well with the soup, and the pork inside was tender. I also enjoy getting the Harami Skirt Beef Rice Bowl, the beef there is also melt in your mouth! Portions of each dish is really generous for the price, and the food always comes out fast. The seating is rather small, but is modern and cozy. Definitely a solid ramen spot to check out!10/10
