Everything was good here the appetizer meatball was the best! Linguine with clams was OK not great and the tiramisu was OK and the salad was very good and the wine was great. I would recommend this place. It's cute and the food is good.

We came here from Canada, and dinner was amazing. The meatballs and Fusilli Carbonara were fantastic. Thanks to Gabe for his excellent recommendations.

Flavorful and cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be returning for another visit.

Excellent Italian restaurant, very intimate but lively. Food was delicious, service was good so overall worth a visit. If you're looking for a quiet place to talk this isn't the best choice.

You can tell the ingredients are quality. Vibes are wonderful in here. Owner and staff checks in constantly and you never have a drink empty which is a nice touch. Only reason for my 4 stars is that valet was $10 when I showed up but $15 when I left. Not classy guys

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful time at Rao's, it was our first time dining there. When I made the reservation, all that was available was outdoors, which I was a little worried about. Turns out no worries at all, it is a covered patio and feels like dining indoors. Certainly no cold or rain to ruin the ambiance. Also outdoors was a more sedate environment, the few tables indoors had a far more raucous sound level, and seemed more like where the regulars sit and share stories, apparently loudly! The food and drinks were excellent; the service friendly and prompt, and the maitre d' came by several times to check on us. He really sold the NYC Italian restaurant vibe to a T! Can't believe this place has been here ten years and it took me this long to find it. Will be back again soon!

From the moment I walked in I felt that I was in an Italian restaurant in New York City, replete with walls covered with celebrities' photos, white linen tablecloths, cozy booths, adorable lamps made out of their pasta sauce jars and a wonderfully funny and charming guy in a suit who visited tables to see how we were doing. I loved everything about the people, the atmosphere, and the food, but the most amazing thing is the red peppers and mozzarella salad. It is to die for. I'm Italian, an Italian citizen, and I can tell you this dish is reminiscent of my grandmother‘s cooking. The pasta was wonderful and the cheesecake dessert was the best New York cheesecake I have tasted in a long, long time here in LA. Honestly, it's like being home with Nonna.
My first time and truly was very much looking forward to it. We got there 15 mins early and our table was ready. Waiter was quick on the draw and very thorough and offered suggestions and specials. The meatballs had wonderful flavor but were a bit mushy for me (like they had been in a crock pot or simmered way too long)......again, flavor was great. Stuffed mushrooms were absolute best anywhere, any time. Veal parm was off the hook. Truly a deicious veal chop, butterflied, pounded and large enough for two adults. The sausage pasta dish was also top shelf. I would have given 5 stars all the way if not for the meatballs. I had to wait a bit at the end for the check after stating to waiter we were too full for dessert. I would go back again without a doubt, but i won't be ordering the meatball.

We made reservations to sit near the bar and have an informal experience. It was awesome. The dirty martinis were delicious and so was the Pasta carbonara and pork chop. The staff was friendly and attentive. Cant wait to go back

We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival by the gracious hostess. Kevin, our waiter, immediately appeared and did a fabulous job of advising us on food choices and did his work with a smile and professionalism. Food was delicious.
