One of my favorite places to get sushi at happy hour. It's such a deal. And the quality is top notch. Service is great and it's a fun place to go enjoy.

Too expensive for what we got. Don't mind paying high price but the food has to match the value. All the nigiri belly fishes I ordered weren't even soft. The uni wasn't even the whole piece.

I recently visited Robota Jinya for my close friend's birthday with my sister and girlfriend. The atmosphere was delightful, creating the perfect setting for a celebratory evening. We were very pleased with the sushi selection, especially the crispy shrimp and tuna crispy rice, which were exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented! We also drank a good amount of sake and beer so that may have elevated the night as well! The fish is fresh and there a bunch of good rolls to choose from. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting Japanese bbq and sushi fusion. It's more of that kind of restaurant than a classic Japanese sushi restaurant. The attentive service and inviting ambiance made this celebration truly memorable. I would easily come back!

Not recommended!! I got food poisoning from their sushi. The worst part is the manager didn't even care and said we had no calls that day about our sushi. That is so ridiculous and makes no sense. Just because they didn't receive any calls doesn't justify the fact that any food can get contaminated at any moment. I experienced the worst customer service ever from a manager and regret coming here. Would never recommend to anyone!

Look, there's a lot of great restaurants on 3rd. Many say 3rd is the Mecca of the LA food scene so think about that hmm? That being said Robata is the best, let me tell you how! I came here last week with my roommates and we had to order 12 crispy rice because it's just that fucking good! One of my roommates looked at me and said "12??? Are you nuts that's way too many" I said "you have no idea how good these are, you may have had crispy rice before but never like this it puts Catch to shame!" She was dubious of my claim as we had orders plenty of other food but when the crispy rice arrived all the doubters (one person) were silenced. We each at 4 and maybe could have done more! The sushi is superlative and the cooks stuff ain't half bad either (it's also superlative). This place is so good that we all decided to re-up our lease in the Mecca of LA dining. Good job to the guy (his name is either jinya or robata idk) he made a hell of a joint.

Best happy hour for Japanese cuisine! Great ambience inside. Decent ambience outside. Happy hour is delicious! Try everything. And get a pitcher of Sapporo!

Came during happy hour and really enjoyed it. We got a lot of the happy hour food and soju. My favorite was definitely their beef tongue grilled to perfection and everything else. Alcohol is well priced. Would definitely come here again, great fast service and there's both indoors + outdoors for whatever vibe you want.

Great happy hour and delicious sushi. Every seat is a good one, great ambiance. Tempura roll, hand roll, and waiter suggested options pork belly and oyster mushrooms were great! Will be back! And close to Fonuts for little gluten free treat after! Kanpeki!!

Cute place though I've not eaten there, only take out. Spicy ramen is great!! I have to order 'hot' to get enough spiciness, but that does the trick! I have experienced some taste inconsistency and packing a to go bag is not their specialty (spilled and made a mess) which is why not five stars.

The service was phenomenal. It is rare to have a waitstaff that is so attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered 4 types of sushi and each one was delicious. We'd never head of lime roll and decided to try it. I'm so glad we did. It was refreshing and delicious. The hand made tofu was a real treat. They pour it right at your table and it solidifies before your eyes. I'd never seen that before. I absolutely recommend this place. It is a rare and wonderful experience.

I really wanted to try this place after a Japanese friend told me that the ramen level was the same as Japan, so I made a reservation weeks in advance noting that it was for an anniversary. When I showed up, I realized they never saved an actual table for us, as they gave the last 2 person table to the party in front who was just walk-in, so we were given the option of either the bar or the outside. If you've been in weho, yk the street it's on, and personally I don't think the outside is a very pleasant ambiance. The interior is incredibly crowded (not a negative, just a note). Despite this, I had a great server and I thought the staff was really nice. I thought the food was pretty good, but honestly nothing that special. I think you could get the same quality ramen at various other places around LA. The scallops were really good!! Just for the price and the way the interior looks, you would think everything would stand out a bit more. But with the amazingness that is LA, I feel that you could find better quality at a better price at a less crowded location.
