Roll-call sushi in Koreatown is a must-try. This restaurant offers a wide variety of sushi, sushi rolls, Chinese food bento boxes, and more, ensuring there's something for everyone. The staff's assistance was greatly appreciated when we were undecided on what to order. The service was exceptional, the ambiance was delightful, and the food was superb.

If you're looking for a weekend happy hour spot for sushi, this is the place to be. I probably go here once a month for their sushi on weekends (8am - 8pm happy hour every weekend) - and their happy hour pricing are great! The service is great, you order and pay at the front, they give you a number and you can sit anywhere you'd like. Their other food is very good as well. I have brought multiple people to this place because of how good the food is, and they also say the same :)

Unfortunately not the best. Food was very basic and generic, fish lacked flavor by itself in the salmon and tuna rolls. Other speciality rolls weren't really "special" just overall your basic and bland sushi restaurant. Surprised by the ratings. Place definitely needs more organization and cleaning as well. Tables in the back by the kitchen are awkward and fridges were pretty dirty with random Items Service was great! This was the one thing they had going for them! Greeted immediately and all very sweet!

One of THE BEST Japanese foodi places I have had in a very long while. This place not only serves tasty Japanese food ranging from noodles, to sushi and bento boxes, but the service and outdoor seatings make the experience 100% a recommendation to others.

I called to ask how I could order a side of rice, I was told that I could add this in the "note" and they will take care of it. I didn't get the rice I ordered and my Thai Tea came like this.

I appreciate the convenience of preordering and picking up during my lunch, avoiding any wait times. This place consistently delivers satisfying food, especially their well-portioned sushi rolls and bowls that leave you feeling full. Lunchtime tends to be busy here.

Fast Casual Japanese Spot with large portions, big flavors and a massive fresh sushi menu is Roll Call Sushi in Koreantown LA, CA. Friends of mine asked me to check this place out and it did not disappoint! Plus there is a free parking for Roll Call customers! Woohoo! Picking rolls from their crazy sushi menu made me want to order them all! Their bento box were massively huge as I stalked other customer's food. This is what I ordered. Ktown Roll: shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado & pickled jalapeño roll topped with eel tempura, scallions & sweet spicy dressing Salmon Double Trouble Roll: salmon tempura & avocado roll topped with salmon sashimi, jalapeño slices, sweet mayo, eel sauce & sesame seeds Salmon Teriyaki Bento: rice, salad, 4 pieces of California Roll, 3 pieces of pork & vegetable gyoza (fried dumplings), miso soup & salmon teriyaki ( large pieces of salmon! ) Bulgogi Beef Bento: rice, salad, 4 pieces of California Roll, 3 pieces of pork & vegetable gyoza (fried dumplings), miso soup & bulgogi beef (huge mound of beef) I was impressed with Roll Call Sushi in Koreatown and can't wait to come back to check out the rest of the menu like their Poke Bowls, Rice Bowls, Katsu, Udon Soup and more. Keep in mind, it's a fast casual Japanese spot so it isn't fancy but the servers are attentive and helpful!

I hate to leave a less than favorable review of a neighborhood spot, but my interaction with this place has... not been favorable. I walked in after looking at the menu online, and asked if I could sit and have a beer while I decide what food to order to go. (Every place I've ever gone to in LA & other cities has permitted this - I'm often alone and wanted to just sit and sip something while I look at the long menu.) The guy at the counter, who seemed to be a manager, looks me up and down and then says "we can't serve beer without ordering food at the same time. --This is a restaurant." 1) Every restaurant that serves alcohol asks if you want anything to drink while you look at the menu, so why would it be so offensive to allow me to do the same? 2) the "this is a restaurant" patronizing remark sent me over the edge. Still, I asked if I could order a beer and food to go at the same time, and he said "I guess we could do that..." with visible hesitation. It was so uncomfortable and unwelcoming--he honestly seemed like he wanted me to leave, I can't even lie. The menu looked great, but I just couldn't bring myself to give money to this place that judged me so openly for no reason. Seems like they have a great menu but lack in hospitality unless you're the kind of customer they want. Bummer.

Had the perfect solo sushi date at Roll (which is now my favorite LA sushi gem). They have remarkable sushi creations, top-notch service, and a welcoming team. They use only the finest, freshest ingredients. A true delight for the senses! Order: Tuna Avocado Roll - Pretty self explanatory lol. Simple, refreshing, and delicious. Sushi Combo B Lunch (14pcs) - This combo offers Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail, Freshwater Eel, Crab Stick, & Spicy Tuna Roll (8pcs). I personally think this was worth ordering that way I saved some money AND got to try different fish. Paid Overtime - Interesting take of a Popcorn/Dynamite Roll (?) It is a California Roll topped with scallops baked in dynamite sauce & topped with smelt eggs, green onions & eel sauce. You should probably eat this last if you ordered a lot like I did due to it being so filling! The Diva Roll - Absolutely one of my favorite rolls. It's a spicy tuna & avocado roll topped with seared pepper albacore, scallions, jalapeño slices, sriracha & soy mustard dressing.

The quality of the sushi is poor in comparison to its price. A tuna roll cost 15 dollars. I think it is too expensive, far higher than the market price. I could not find the reason for the high price. The food was of average quality but the price was much higher.

The most delicious, consistently great sushi rolls and always fresh that can be found in Los Angeles. Can’t wait for the highland Park location to open as well! Will always be back weekly.

Counter service + Nobu prices. Literally had to walk up to counter staff and ask for a bucket to use the restroom. Happy hours is not really happy hours because it is still priced very high. Appetizers were good. The rolls were okay. Lots of other options that provides better experience.

Very underwhelming. Went here for happy hour. Garlic Edamame and Wings were very good. Jalapeño Poppers were just okay, the three rolls we got were all meh or just plain not good. Customer service was very poor. I literally waited at the front to get a to go box while the cashier/server was on the phone, and four other staff legit saw me there but talked amongst themselves. It is also counter-serve, just an heads up. Will not be back
