I have gone to the Saffron at Cal Plaza and to this location before. Something about it has changed. I got the basic Chicken Tikka Masala and 2 samosas. Both did not taste good. The chicken had an unusual sweet flavor that was not appetizing and the samosas were bad. The potatoes inside were hard little cubes with absolutely no flavor. Not to mention cold. I will not be back.

Pre-pandemic, this place was okay. These past three years, ever since they reopened in 2021, never been the same. I always avoid it, but thought I would give it another shot, only to be disappointed yet again. Never again.

This use to be my go to spot for a quick lunch. Not sure what happened but I probably won't be going back. Ordered the chicken curry bowl and there was literally no curry in the bowl. It was nothing but flavorless dry shredded chicken. I ordered the garlic naan to go with it and it was burned to a crisp. It tasted like burnt toast.

For a fast food place in a mall type center, it was pretty good! The cashier was super friendly and nice, and not in the sales like way. Food was quick, no real complaints. Good for some quick Indian food while shopping at fig at 7.

I enjoy coming here and the food I've tried has solid and delicious. Usually, I tried everything in the menu and I am satisfied with the flavors. One of the workers Vanessa is super friendly and has great customer service even when the lines are busy. The cooks has done a great job with the food prep.

I ordered the chicken Tandoori plate. The portions are good. The flavors are very muted. Its a shame, because of what is there is good. The chicken is not juicy, nor dry either. I dare say the garlic nan was the highlight. Maybe they have another star dish? It is filling convenient and fast.

I ordered a plate with Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Masala on white rice along with 2 Garlic Naan. The naan was so burnt like crunchy not soft and hard, I can still taste the burnt parts of it.On the other hand, the Lamb tasted old stale, and the only good thing was the Chicken Tikka Masala but even that was covered in a clear coat as the grease rose to the top.

Did the management or Cher change post pandemic !! What happened to these guys ? They used to be decent Indian option for DTLA, both their downtown locations are underperforming. The food used to have flavor and I used to love the samosas, the food now sucks! Chicken tikka masala is all butter and super dry chicken, the gravy is bland. I am not even courageous enough to try the other stuff now.. The only good thing that has managed to last is their good service and green chutney. I am truly disappointed.
