I first came here because it was the closest ice cream shop to our Dentist office. My son had a lip tie release and the dent recommended a cold treat for him. Soooo glad we came! First time ever having Persian ice cream and now we make it a point to come any time we visit the dentist! My absolute favorite is the pistachio rose, I love the texture of the Fadooleh and my kids love the strawberry and the cookies and cream! They all taste so homemade. I love that you can take some to go and the young man working gave us excellent customer service. He was generous with samples and recommended getting 2 different flavors per cup. It was a great recommendation because we got to try more flavors! Can't wait to come back!

UCLA students are spoiled by Saffron & Rose! The white rose, pink rose, and orange blossom are my favorites. The ice cream has a strong flavor, while still being sweet and creamy. I make an effort to visit saffron & rose again if I am ever in Westwood.

Highly recommend the Shamshiri-Saffron dinner/dessert combo. Abuse their free samples and complimentary wafers. Elite faloodeh and pomegranate flavors. Cons: Not a fan of their metallic-based redesign. Feels like I'm sitting inside of a disco ball.
I have loved this place for years, it's by far my favorite ice cream in LA. I always bring my visitors here because it is just so unique in texture and flavor, and everyone loves it! I've tried Mashti Malone's as well and this is far superior in my opinion.

The perfect little night cap to a day of exploring! I was craving ice cream so I headed over to Saffron and Rose. Got here right before closing at about 10:45pm on a Saturday and it was busy. But it makes sense. It's near UCLA and there were a few college kids hanging out. The great thing about this ice cream shop is all the interesting flavors: cucumber, rose, Nutella, Passion fruit, etc. I got to try a few and was impressed with everything I tried. I finally settled on Taro/ube and a scoop of cucumber. Both were delicious but if I had to try again, I'd swap out the cucumber for something else. Oh well, it just gives me a great excuse to come back and try more options. A nice little treat before bed. I'll definitely be back to try something else delicious.

First time in and the gentleman behind the counter was nice! He made great recommendations and answered all our questions very patiently. Everyone ended up with flavors they really loved- from more traditional (mango) to the more unique (saffron pistachio). I would highly recommend!
