Sakura is just one of those authentic, under the radar, all around great Japanese restaurants that are all to rare to find these days. This place is a local staple and provides the highest quality fish at great price. Not sure where else in LA that you can still get a phenomenal Chirashi bowl for $26! Why would I go anywhere else?

This was not my first visit to the restaurant and before it was awesome with great friendly service and delicious food. Years later we came in with a group of 14 and was surprised to find the cook very rude with an attitude. Cooked and served our food with no smile and aggressive manner sort of like he didn't want to be there. I don't know if the owner or management changed or it was just a bad day for this restaurant that day however I will give them one more chance later and see if it will be any different. Hope so Because we liked coming to this place before.

High quality Japanese restaurant. Been there for many years. Very popular. Food is always excellent.

Yesterday, my friend and I had lunch at your establishment. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the empty front bar seating, which we hoped would provide an engaging view of the sushi chefs at work, we were directed to sit at a side location where we had no visibility of the food preparation. My friend ordered freshwater eel and cooked salmon, dishes we know typically require some time to prepare due to their cooking process. Surprisingly, both items arrived within minutes and were barely warm, lacking flavor and texture. We suspect they were pre-cooked and reheated, as they lacked freshness. I opted for the assorted sashimi, including salmon, yellowtail, and whitefish, but found it dry and tasteless. While we've enjoyed dining at your establishment in the past, this recent experience was disappointing, and we have no plans to return.

The Abardcor is the BOMB!! SUSHI or SASHIMI anywayyouwant. YOU can't go wrong. Sweet Shrimp is great. They will do tempura style on the sweet shrimp head for you.

When I walked in it looked promising because the sushi chefs look Japanese. However, it was disgusting and overpriced. I would rather commit harakiri than eat here again.

Chirashi and 16 piece are great price for what you get! It was all delicious I would definitely come back. It gets busy so be prepeared to wait or sit at the bar if you aren’t the first seated.

Love Sakura. Sushi is amazing. Aldo, love their soups. But, need someone to share either. Really large portions. Get there right when they open, or be prepared to wait. They get very busy very quickly.

So freaking good! What more is there to say?! The fish is fresh and everything is reasonably priced. They don't take reservations and it always seems to be feel but we've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes. Not sure how that works . Street parking is typically easy to find. Spicy tuna crispy rice js HUGE and so delicious. Fish is plentiful and buttery. A must try spot!!

The food is always stellar, and there is a great variety. If you have people in your party who don't like fish, this is a great place to go to. My only note (which is not bad) is that if you don't like wasabi make sure to ask the restaurant not to include it on your nigiri :)

Nice sushi place with plenty of other options. Some free parking in the back which is nice for Los Angeles. Friendly and efficient servers.

Used to eat here years ago. Happen to be in the area and stopped by. Couldn't believe I paid 25.00 for a bowl of combination noodle soup!! Soup was still good but not worth 25.00 so I don't see myself coming back anytime soon unless someone else is picking up the bill and the sad part is the cheap plastic to-go container was so hot when trying to pour it into a bowl when I got home. This place has been around forever I they can do better when charging such premium prices.
