I went here last Nov when they celebrated their anniversary. The ramen is pretty good (standard level for someone who’s not very into it like me).

JAPAN WOULD NEVER!!!Ramen is good service is great! but advertised as $13 a bowl but in reality w/ like 3-4 small little toppings extra expect to pay $26+ a bowl the bowls don't have many ingredients so they encourage add-ons 3 bowls and a yakitori plate ended up being $106 :/ but understandable for West LA prices ?

Not the best ramen in my opinion, tastes like pork with water and salt, chashu is chewy

It is recommended to choose a thick ramen soup, otherwise it will be too light.I think the dandan noodles are pretty good and delicious.Yuzu highball can passBut the service is very good

I got the hakata ramen with a soft flavored egg, spicy miso, and GGC. It was delicious. I tried my partner's spicy dandan men, which was good too.

For a ramen place their ramen is pretty average, would probably go again if I'm in the area and craving but wouldn't go out of my way to dine there. The ramen doesn't taste as balanced as I'd like, the spring onion taste really took over the broth but it was still quite decent. The gyoza was okay too, nothing special.

Used to be my top choice, but their ramen quality went way south. I dont think I will come back again.
Food: i really like this franchise. I think they are consistent. There Japanese fried rice I love so much.Service: nothing to complain about. They are quick. And quick to respond when you need something.Ambiance: the vibes is pretty much to same at a lot of places.

Getting away from Japanese Ramen. Very hard to find real close to what is Ramen taste should be. Seems like everywhere Ramen became something else other than what I grown up with. When ramen wasn't the thing local people goes to. it was Japanese ramen for Japanese people who live here and crave for it. Not anymore. Sadly.

The service was poor. The waiter with died blonde hair caused my son with special disabilities and is allergic to wheat cry. My son still really wanted to try this place because his friends at school recommended it to him. Extremely unhelpful when figuring out what to eat. And the no substitutions even for allergies made it difficult to order. My family will never go back to this place and I will be telling the other families at my son's special needs school about this terrible experience here.

In short, go to Hokkaido Ramen Santouka instead. It's unfortunate that the ramen here seems to be so lacking. The noodles are very plain and seem like dried straight ones from the store, the soup doesn't seem to have the right flavor, and the pork chashu slices are overcooked while also lacking mixing flavor. The service is fast, nice, and observant. The atmosphere is cozy
