Wow!! Their Soup called Sotto is better than any cold medicine!Hear me out, I was feeling under the weather, I turned to Sotto Soup #204 after a friend's recommendation, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! Packed with chicken, ginger, and turmeric, this soup is like a warm hug for your immune system. Ordering via Uber Eats was a breeze, and after just one bowl, I felt like a new person – goodbye phlegm, hello productivity! Plus, it comes with a dose of white rice.Trust me, this soup is the ultimate pick-me-up for anyone feeling a bit sniffly.I also tried their vegetarian fried rice and their noodles; yum!

insane value!!! restaurants of this quality and authenticity should cost at least twice the price. the food is authentically delicious and presented like a 3-star Michelin. get the Paratha Roti for appetizer! the flaky-ness of the dough pairs super well with the peanut satay sauce. I would order one serving just for myself.Parking: Might have to park on Overland and walk 1 block.

I recently decided to explore this Indonesian gem near my home the day after Chinese New Year (2024). From the moment I stepped in, the service from Yeamin was impeccable!! Their hospitality was exceptional, and Yeamin went above and beyond in explaining each dish in detail. I opted for the Roti Canai, which was delightfully light and flaky, paired perfectly with a creamy, buttery taste and served alongside a delectable yellow curry. The Chicken Sate Ayam was another highlight of the meal, and I capped off this culinary journey with their divine pecan peanut butter cake--a pure delight! Each bite was an indulgence, and I left feeling thoroughly satisfied:)

I forgot where I first seen this place but I had been meaning to try this months ago. I finally got the time to try it this past week and let me sit here and say as many others have said, it was well worth the wait. In Jersey we don't have many Indonesian spots but the ones we do have are good. This however, takes Indonesian food to the next level . I wish I could have this closer to me but I'll just have to settle on traveling to come get it. That's how serious this is. Sometimes, some places lose their touch when people order take out. This was absolute perfection from start to finish. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had, also some of the best curry and roti I have ever had. The turmeric fried chicken : 10/10, absolutely delicious. Juicy and packed with nothing but flavor. The turmeric is a great addition to the seasonings on the bird and it propels it to the next level. The skin was just was good, crunchy and doesn't automatically slide off when biting. The roti paratha / curry: 10/10. As a side dish I knew it was going to be good because roti usually always is. But y'all, again, perfection. I know some people may ask "how good can roti be?" But this is THAT good. Both the roti and curry were buttery and flavorful. The curry had a spice level to it that teetered between hot and hot enough and that is spot on to me . The roti was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside which made for a great combination with the curry. (All the sides with the chicken were also good) I miss this place already but I promise I'll be back soon.

One day a couple years ago my wife and I walked a blocks from our apartment and came in not expecting much. We walked out realizing we had found our go-to neighborhood spot and that we would be back a number of times (which we have). We've literally had nothing we didn't like. This is an absolute MUST if you enjoy any kind of Asian food. Best of what we've had: Beef rendeng (a MUST) Lemper (get a side of the hot sauce) Laksa (seafood curry soup) Serendipity (seafood garlic noodles) Turmeric fried chicken Fried fish We live in the valley now but whenever we're in the area, or just need our craving of South East Asian satisfied, we still stop in. But if you guys expand to somewhere in the valley I can promise we will personally keep you guys in business! Hope nothing but the utmost prosperity for Simpang, still our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Even if we don't live in the neighborhood anymore.

Food very unique, tasty, surprisingly light for what the dishes are, good ingredients and satisfying! Service was quick, efficient and pleasant. Big menu that they pull off well. Convenient parking.

This place has a very nice setup and great food and drink presentation. The service was great, they were very friendly and quick to bring out the food. I've eaten a lot of Indonesian food, but the flavor here wasn't enough. Of course nothing compares to eating the food in Indonesia, but the tastes at other Indonesian restaurants I eat here in the US are much tastier. The lumpia and the Kwetiau Vegan had the most flavors, they were really good. We weren't the biggest fans of the Nasi Goreng with tofu, we needed to add sweet soy sauce to make it more flavorful. The Gado Gado had good flavor, but the peanut sauce was not warm like at other places. The Es Cendol liquid part was good, but the sandan didn't have much flavor. This is a good spot to try different items you like.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and vegan options.

Been living in the Palms area for a while and always saw Simpang come up on Yelp or on DoorDash. Decided to give it a try and ordered through Postmates. I ordered the Rames (001) plate and the egg rolls. The egg rolls were extremely crispy and super flavorful. The Rames dish is probably one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, as well as the beef. Loved the coconut rice. The green beans had a crunch to it, not being overly cooked. All and all, will definitely add this restaurant as one of my go to's. It was reallllly good!

The food was great but some plates were served very lukewarm or maybe even not warm at all. The service was good. The prices are average. A good place if you love Indonesian food or want to try it for the first time.

First time having Indonesian food & will definitely be coming back. Everything was delicious, very flavorful & vibrant. Our server was sweet, took a while for us to order but he was patient. It was raining today, restaurant was empty when we first sat, but 2 more people went in and they seemed like regulars & overhead them both talking about how good their food is every time they visit. Can't wait to stop by again! : )
