Visited from out of town prior to a LA kings game since it was close to the stadium. Chips and salsa were pretty good and you could tell the chips were homemade. I had ordered one of the taco plates- one with asada and one birria. I'm gluten free and talked to the waiter to make sure I got corn and not flour tortillas. Food came out and everything looked good, and it was a good thing I started with the birria taco on corn because the server came out after I was almost done with that one to notice my asada taco was on a flour tortilla. They did bring me a new one but it could have been bad for me had I eaten the flour tortilla asada one first. They should have checked prior to sending it out to me to catch sooner. The server didn't seem very apologetic afterwards and then didn't check in with us afterwards very much and it was hard to flag him down to get to pay.

Although the food and employees who were there were great, for a Friday night there should be more help. Took a good while to even just get our drinks and take our order. When we were trying to leave we had to chase down somebody.

We had been to this restaurant before. My husband loves their carne asada burrito. All ingredients they put in this burrito just taste very good. I had grilled veggie bowel. It was delicious as well. This year their service has been improved a lot , much efficient. Definitely we will come back more often.
Place is nice. We arrived early for our reservation and they happily took us in. Food is good, drinks are good. Our food came out quickly and our order was correct. A few hiccups. It took a bit for us to get our drink order in. We tried to be understanding being we had shown up early for our reservation but when they didn't have the tequilas we wanted to try, that was disappointing. The service in between was not there, my hubby had to flag someone down because we all needed refills on our drinks and no one had been back to check on us. Overall, would we give this place another try? Yes.

The food here was fantastic, and the staff was friendly and efficient! The music and noise level are way too loud for a good dining experience. I would return but would dare to ask that they lower the music volume.

We use to come here a lot before or after a Kings game... just my husband and I. Food was so delicious especially the chips and salsa... oh and the guacamole was amazing! Decided to bring our daughter and her boyfriend before our Kings game and unfortunately we were disappointed. Over all it was ok... Service was slow, waiters were definitely hustling. Like so many places they must have been short handed. Our food was just ok. We order the shrimp tacos, not a lot of flavor. The guacamole, salsa and chips were also very bland. The one thing I found funny was when I ordered my second margarita our waiter picked up my empty margarita glass and asked me to keep my straw. I've never been asked this before in any restaurant... We had a great time with our group and that's what counts. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon though.

Sonoritas is a great date spot or a place to drink, eat and catch up with a large group of friends. The place is vibing with music, cocktails and eats! I love the well thought out ambiance and decor of the restaurant - it's very LA and in a good way. The food is a bit on the pricey side (approx $23 for taco platter, which includes 2 tacos and a side of rice and beans), but does go down a bit for their bowls and burritos unless you select add-ons. Food is pretty good, but due to price not my favorite. Cocktails are good, but lacking a tad in volume. However, don't let that stop you from trying Sonoritas. I love the vibe and would still recommend it!The most popular item on the menu were any of the Tierra dishes, so I opted for the Mar y Tierra tacos, which was Angus beef (?) and shrimp. Pretty good, but next time I'll probably order the tacos a la carte if given. The rice and beans were a tad uninspiring.If you roll with a large group there are a lot of long tables on the patio. The patio is vibing just as much on the outside as on the inside.And if you want a spot to grub before the Laker game and away from Nokia, another spot on Flower for you to check out!Vegetarian options: One veggie bowl on the menu
