Awesome place. Everything is good. Be careful, you might end up being a little easier to see. Customer service is amazing. Whoever is working always greets you with a smile. Often times people forget about how important customer service is.

Southern Girl Desserts is my favorite bakery in Los Angeles! Everything that I've tried from the cookies, cakes, cupcakes and pies are absolutely delicious! My favorite pound cake flavors are the Sweet Potato Pound Cake, Lemon Pound Cake and Butter Pound Cake and the Plain Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies with Pecans are yummy as well! The owner is very professional, kind and a breath of fresh air! She brings the Sweet Southern Hospitality, tasty treats and refreshments that the Greater Los Angeles needs and I'm grateful for her presence in the community! She reminds me of home and that means the world to me! I would suggest training your new employees. Sometimes they're not as pleasant to interact with as the owner but I have good faith that can be worked out ? If you're in Los Angeles locally or just passing through be sure to stop by Southern Girl Desserts! ????‍♀️

I used to LOVE coming here. The peach cobbler and the customer service was unmatched. However I went back today (12/23/23) after a while and the young latin girl at the front was not hospitable at all. It was off putting I decided to just leave. Hopefully if I come back the service will be as great as I remember.

Came in and got a slice of red velvet and my toes been curled ever since, and I don’t even eat everybody’s cake. So good!

Nice place. Good assortment of choices. My very absolute favorite is the caramel cake. Buttery rich layered cake with beautiful caramel . Not sickly sweet. Perfectly balanced and super yummy.

It was okay taste like the cookies in the grocery store pie was too expensive for a slice six dollars

The customer service was IMMACULATE, let's just start there. I wish I remembered her name, but the woman who helped me today was the person EVERY BUSINESS wants to be front-facing with customers. She walked me through the entire menu (prices included). On a Sunday morning, the gospel music was flowing and the vibe was very welcoming. To the desserts: The chocolate chip cookie was standard and the oatmeal raisin cookie was EXTRAORDINARY. I mean... talk about a sleeper! I'll be back for more of those. Banana pudding and icebox pie were both solid as well. The one thing I didn't really enjoy was their sweet potato cupcake. Admittedly, I typically hate icing and the one on this cupcake was cloyingly sweet. The cake itself was denser and drier than I would have liked. Not for me. Price points are VERY reasonable. Pleased, recently visit here for the banana pudding, and I was not happy the first time however, the second time I was pleased by the banana pudding, and the service. Thanks to the manager.

When I got home, and discovered that my peach cobbler was made with diced peaches, that was disheartening. The other problem was, they were not cooked enough; at least for my taste. I purchase peach cobbler here all the time however, I was very disappointed in that batch. Definitely not feeling the diced peaches - huge turn off. ijs
