Love this place! Friendly staff, greats drinks. It's not a party environment, the energy is very laidback. Great place to have a genuine conversation with friends/dates, you won't need to shout but you'll still be in a buzzing, fun atmosphere

Awesome little neighborhood bar. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a bunch of draft craft beer options plus wine. Cherry on top is their refrigerated section - about 4 full fridges. They carry a small food menu of snacks - popcorn, nuts, cheese, etc. Simple compliment to your drink. It's a very chill spot to grab a beer with someone. There aren't any TVs so it's a perfect spot to just sit there, talk, and enjoy each others' company with no distractions.

It's easy to get a feel for the local pub.Just take the alcohol out of the refrigerator and drink it.I guess it was because I was a young friend, but I checked my passport and kept my card and paid later. I think it was because I was a tourist, but it wasn't unpleasant. The popcorn tastes like malta and is slightly spicy.

I always love coming here after a long day! Service is always very attentive and friendly. We recently tried the pimento cheese and it was very tasty, popcorn is always good and a generous amount. I love how chill the place, makes it easy to have a conversation with your friends and staff.

Cool little beer spot nestled in a strip mall in Korea Town. Great beers on tap and an even better can and bottle selection. This is a spot for beer lovers.

Great spot in ktown for craft beer! This review is way overdue as I've loved them since they opened. Popcorn is a must. Great place to catch up with friends. Staff is friendly as well. I like that they have a dedicated parking lot.

This was a nice chill space for beer. They have a lot of different options on tap and also fridges full of cans and bottles. I believe there is an additional charge to open a can or bottle that you buy from them.Sadly, my first choice in beer was sold out by the time I went to order but tried some others. Not bad, was nice to have a variety. I went late at night so when we got there it was half empty but it did slowly fill up and then kind of empty again. They have some long tables you can sit at.We didn't realize this but there is a parking lot and since the other places in the plaza already closed, there were plenty of open spaces.

Such a hidden gem tucked in the corner of a Korean strip mall. There are limited breweries in Los Angeles. So, when in town and wanting to experience new breweries, this is your place. The staff was amazing! They chatted up beer with these beer girls. As it was a Friday, more and more people came in as we were there to drink or buy cans to go. Ignore some of the nay sayers in Yelp. There was nothing to complain about. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the employees are super friendly. The snacks coming from the kitchen are tasty. We had seasoned olives, nuts, and popcorn. The tap list of beer, cider, and seltzer selection is good. The coolers are loaded with lots of great selections to drink on site of take to go. If you find yourself staying in Koreatown, you will definitely want to stop in.

One of my favorite watering holes. Located in an unassuming plaza off of Western and 8th, they serve a pretty eclectic array of beers. My girlfriend and I come here because we both like beer but we have vastly different tastes. I like lagers, pilsners, ambers, and stouts while she enjoys sours and beers that don't taste like beers.Southland has both. They also have a wine list that I haven't checked out but the Koreatown Wine Club occasionally (?) holds their tastings here. This is a place that I want to keep to myself but can't because I genuinely want the place to succeed. You walk in and most times than not, you'll be greeted by the smell of their popcorn. I noticed a lot of the patrons are regulars, and it makes sense--the ambiance is easy going and relaxed. There's a wall of hand written draft beers on the wall behind the bartenders that gets changed pretty frequently and in the corner there are fridges with canned craft beers from possibly hundreds of different breweries. You can sit at the bar or there are long tables on which you can sit with your party or alone to have a nice cold brew. I like sitting at the bar alto chat to some of the coolest bartenders in the area. They have a limited food menu--most of the food here is bar foods such as nuts, olives, popcorn, or crackers with pimento cheese. Although it's a guilty pleasure for me to get the pimento cheese and crackers, sometimes you want something more. Fret not, they let you BYOF. You can bring your own food.Lastly, some may not like that Southland is a beer/wine bar only, but it makes sense. You don't come here to get shitfaced and start a fight, you come here to socialize and break bread with friends, make new friends, and partake in steady, titrated decadence. Overall a great place to hang out; if you don't come with friends, you will make some friends.

The perfect place for a casual hangout, date night, birthday party and more! Southland has become a weekly spot to go to for my bf and I and we've continued on coming here for the past two years. Not only do they have a solid selection on tap, they have a a bottle shop with a variety of beer, wine and seltzers you can purchase and bring home as well. I'm a huge fan of sours and Southland has a rotating selection of sours from different breweries in their bottle room on almost a weekly basis. All the bartenders here are super friendly and always attentive. I am a HUGE fan of their cheese pimento too - the pickles they offer with this are amazing and complement the cheese and crackers perfectly. A definite must try if you're here!

Decent little bar in the midst of Koreatown, Los Angeles.Nothing fancy but a reasonable selection of draught beers although quite expensive.
