I'm from Los Angeles and every day I miss Mendocino farms iced tea. Luckily Sugarbird who makes the blend sells it and I have been getting it shipped to me in Tennessee!Incredible price, fast shipping and a quality product. Love supporting a fellow Angeleno!

100% the BEST scones I have ever had (and two lucky people I shared them with agreed)... I received scones, cookies, jam, and tea in a gift box and everything was delicious. I will absolutely gift these to others.

Wherever you live in the LA area, find the closest Sugarbird AND GO! We are nowhere near this place and we would drive every day of the week if we could. There is no comparison to these scones (and clotted cream OMG!!!) The only thing I can think of is desserts in Europe maybe, where it isn't just pounds of sugar and called a dessert. A special recipe like no other, love & care comes through in every bite & if you get to meet Kay then your trip is complete. SUGARBIRD IS A SLICE OF HEAVEN!

Good scones! My review is for the Montrose location. But I think the owner is the same

Just a note, Sugarbird Sweets is an online, wholesale and catering bakery specializing in the most buttery, moist scones and afternoon tea party catering with a modern flair. As of Nov 2022, we opened our brick and mortar shop in Montrose. 3405 Ocean View Blvd (Next to Shreiners)This Ave 25 location is our commissary kitchen where all the magic happens. Give us a call and let us know how we can make your scone experience incredible!

It is simply the best! We love all the flavors. Freshly baked and it's really good. Always looking forward to ordering more.

We went to this place but it's not there. It's an old brick building that you can't get inside of. When we called to find out how to get in we got a paid answering service who didn't know much about the business. I don't want to give it bad reviews food wise because we never tasted it BUT its not good business to not explain you have a location that makes items only to go and only by appointment if this is what's going on here. Also-- it would be good if they change the OPEN NOW because they are not open. Anyhow this business should clarify what they are doing. Vegan food in this area is free and far between so thinking I found some is disappointing and a waste of my time.

Turn off online ordering if you're going to to close during your open hours. You accepted my order. Drove 25 minutes to pick up, waited 20 minutes out front, then got a call that nobody is there. Real f*ing classy, guys.

I’ve always wanted to try Sugarbird’s scones! I coincidentally saw them at my local Bristol’s Farm and decided to pick them up. I got a pack of 4 mini Lemon Blueberry Scones ($8). I was slightly disappointed at how dry and stale they were. Perhaps they were sitting out for a little while.. but the sell by date was 3 more days from the day I picked it up. I did warm them up a little but they still had a very noticeable staleness to them. Aside from the dryness, they tasted okay. A little bit on the saltier side I would say. I detected no lemon flavor, and blueberries were a scant. Overall they were a little underwhelming… but this experience won’t preclude me from trying them again another time. I know getting them from the grocery store probably doesn’t compare to getting it fresh from the business. I definitely won’t go actively pursuing them anymore especially given the price, but I hope I get the opportunity to taste them at there best, one day.

Kei was beyond helpful and really walked me through my order to ensure I had everything! This is my go to place in LA for tea time treats!

Convent find since they are not at the south pasadena farmers market! A little more pricey than at the farmers market. But, glad I find them again!! Great tasting scones!

Love the decor in this coffee shop. All the little details in the shop tell a story. It's very unique and COZY. I've been here twice and had the coconut coffee and egg waffles. The egg waffles took a bit longer to make, but it was FRESH out of the oven so it was worth the extra couple of minutes! Great service with a SMILE.

Delicious scones! I tried a box of their Assortment of 6 Scones and brought them to my little sister's wedding dress shopping. Everyone loved them. They were about the size of my fist, and they were packed with flavor. Highly recommend trying with their teas!

If you want the best scones all while doing business with lovely people, Sugarbird Sweets is it. We bought a two dozen assortment of 7 or 8 different flavors and they were all amazingly delicious. On the way home we stopped at family and friends and left surprise gifts of scones for them to discover, which they also all loved (easy to do since each scone is individually wrapped/packaged). Not sure if it was one of the owners or employees who helped us with the purchase, but she couldn't have been any sweeter or kinder. We are definitely gifting these in the future. I bet their teas and other sweets are as good, but we haven't tried them yet. Soon we will! Just wanted you all to know!

So my sister has sent me afternoon tea twice now, once on Valentine's Day and once on my birthday. It's been a really awesome thing to get during the pandemic, particularly since we can't really visit and it's still something nice to get from someone's that shows that they care. My Valentine's Day one was super awesome. My sister got me the afternoon tea for one, and everything was delicious. They brought it straight to my leasing office of the apartment so that I got it straight away. I got a bunch of scones, desserts, tea sandwiches, green tea, and cheese. It was so good. My fave was the scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and the cucumber and herbed cream cheese sandwiches, fig and Brie sandwiches, and egg salad sandwiches. Sooooooo goood. The only thing I didn't like was the smoked salmon tea sandwiches, but that's only because I don't like smoked salmon in general. For my birthday one this August, it's was mostly the same except my sis decided to order a la carte this time. She got me the afternoon tea sandwiches, clotted cream and strawberry jam, frozen scones, caviar, and a cheese plate. Everything was still yummy and mostly great. I'm not dinging them a star because it was more the shipping company's fault than theirs. I didn't get it delivered straight to my door or to the leasing office this time. They just left it in the lobby of my apartment and I didn't know it was there until I went to check my mail pretty late in the day. Most of the ice had melted at that point and the tea sandwiches were mostly rotten so I threw most of them in the trash. The cheese plate was still good though. And so was the caviar. Def love the caviar. Overall, still a really awesome gift to get. Especially since I love afternoon tea. It's a very special gift to get, particularly when we're in a pandemic and you think people aren't thinking about you. Very sweet gift! And very sweet and cute packaging!
