My first time. It took about 20 minutes s to have my order taken; I ordered the Tal's 2x2x2. The pancakes where cooked all the way through, waitress didn't offer to remove them from my plate. By time my new order came, I was done eating and didn't want them. This my 1st and last time here. I'll stick with Jack's or CJ's.

Customer service was trash it took a long time for the food to come out and she never brought my toast. Then when i told he she asked do i still want it. Hell yeah i do I'm paying for it. Then when i asked for a box and check she stated doing other stuff so i had to get up and ask again.

This place has been around for years. Clean basic breakfast food. The affordable prices are the best in LA. Food prep can change depending on the cook. It is a causal neighborhood spot. The people are friendly and respectful with smiles on their faces. You can sense they like each other. Just go and enjoy your basic breakfast foods at a big cost savings.Parking: Slauson has parking restrictions some hours.

Food was delicious as always. It's small so i wouldn't recommend groups bigger than 4. Wings were fried to perfection and were seasoned great too. The country style potatoes are fire too!!! Customer service was on point too. Definitely gotta try

The hot links were low quality and the salmon croquettes were too vinegary, but the hot cakes were excellent and the vibe was great!

I was looking for a lunch spot while working in the area. What a wonderful little spot, I went with breakfast and I'm so glad it did. The best pancakes I've had in a while. I will definitely be back with my boyfriend because he has to try them. I loved the food and the warm environment. A must try if you're in the area.

I’ll be back that’s my Southern California joint every time I fly in✊?

Stumbled upon this place whilst looking for a breakfast spot to eat. It was fantastic. I don’t know why it only has a 4.2 star rating. Maybe because the place looks a bit run down? I mean, everyone should know the best places are typically the unattractive hole-in-the walls. However, the food was classic American. Nothing “fancy-fied.”. It’s the classic, simple American breakfast done right. It was so nostalgic I felt like I was eating my grandparent’s breakfasts. It has amazing history based on the little bit of it that was shared with us by our server who’s worked there for 35 years! Incredible. My husband said “if we still lived in LA, on this side, this would be our regular spot. I’d come here all of the time”. Tal’s is a place that has heart. This historic landmark deserves a try. Thank you to the staff for kindness and fantastic breakfast.
