The salmon plate was delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked. All of the side dishes were perfectly cooked and savory. The environment was great for conversation. Not too quiet not too noisy. The service was amazing. From the moment we walked in the door everyone was so attentive. Only thing that could use some help are the mixed drinks but they weren't bad. Overall a really good experience.

First, very, very expensive! In terms of "value," I'm giving 3.5-4 stars instead of an enthusiastic 5-stars. Another one of my rating standards is if I'd come back to this restaurant again, and I would say "NO." Value means the quality and originality of the food, the taste, the service, the restaurants ambiance and then "style." This restaurant is maybe a cut above a chain steakhouse; perhaps their outrageous prices is their attempt to set themselves apart. But it is NOT worth it! The value just isn't there. We had a party of 6 and tried many drinks, entrees, sides, and desserts. All were just good/ok, but no dish stood out, nothing was outstanding (especially for the prices they charged). I will say that their service was exceptional, flawless. If I'm paying over $100/person I expect a little more originality and enjoyment.

Recently had dinner with a party of 4 and the service was great. Fernando did an excellent job opening and decanting our 2000 vintage magnum wine bottle. All steaks tasted great, with the exception of one which was ordered as medium well and prepared well done. Nevertheless, the evening was fine.

Amazing atmosphere, incredible steaks, and amazing customer service. Connie was our dedicated waiter. She made some amazing recommendations on all entrees including a delicious lobster bisque, a well prepared steak and a delicious dessert. Connie took amazing care of us and her sense of humor was superb. Would definitely come back and request her specifically.

Food fantastic service above and beyond. We went early as my wife and I don't like crowds or noise. Very close to la centre. Thanks for valet and security.

Neighborhood joint that has a nice bar area and great apps. I've had a few steaks , lamb shops, many apps and sides , many soups , I will say that. The steaks have been cooked well, they have the best FOS soups , but the lobster bisque is the one too get

I attended a luncheon event here. I've always ventured on this part of DTLA and have walked past Capital Grill a lot but have never walked-in to eat until this luncheon invite from my colleague. I had their Filet Mignon (medium)... although this is not my favorite cut I went and ordered it at my friend's recommendation. Wow. It did not disappoint. Well seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium with a delicious sear! The mashed potatoes are delicious! Bar area has a great selection of spirits and wine and their dining area is upscale and fitting of a proper steak house. I'm coming back with my friends soon!

Dining at The Capital Grille was an unparalleled experience, deserving nothing less than a five-star rating. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance exuded a classic elegance, complemented by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel comfortable. What truly set this visit apart was the exceptional management by Fernando and Patrick. Their attention to detail and dedication to providing an amazing dining experience was recognized in every aspect. Fernando's expertise in guiding us through our dinner was impressive. His recommendations were spot on, enhancing our dining experience with delightful flavors. Additionally, Patrick's oversight of the service team was flawless. He ensured that every need was anticipated and met with a level of professionalism. The synergy between the kitchen and the floor staff, under Patrick's guidance, ensured that each course was served seamlessly and at the perfect moment. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Also, the wine selection paired beautifully with our meals, elevating the flavors to new heights.

I've been to several Captial Grille locations which include Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Las Vegas, etc. and I have to say this was the worst location I've ever been to. My partner and I made a reservation here for our anniversary at 9:00 pm. Upon arrival, we're met with the valet person and the doorman(I suppose) on their phones having off-the-clock conversations with vulgar language, not prompt on getting guest cars, and laughter. Then we go inside to confirm our reservation 15 minutes early for the host to tell us the table isn't ready. Keep in mind when we booked the reservation they had tons of reservations which means they need to pay attention to their system because it's faulty. So, after a few minutes, we decided to eat at the bar because we'd eaten at other locations and the bar service would be just as superb as the main dining service but we were mistaken. The bartender (tall white gentleman) did not acknowledge us at all the entire time only for a short woman to come over to serve us and forget our orders, not serve everything accordingly such as the bread or crushed pepper for our salad, or even her name for that matter. We had two crab cakes which were too soggy and cold which meant it sat too long in the window, and a blue wedge salad which was not fresh at all. Then to make matters worse as soon as another couple came and sat beside us the other bartender I've mentioned, acknowledged them as if we hadn't sat there the entire waiting for him to say something to us at this EMPTY bar. Not to mention, the woman didn't say anything about our anniversary or offer anything extra that all the other Captial Grille locations would. We were so disgusted with the service that we decided to finish our appetizers, and overpriced lemon drops, and leave. We would be a fool to spend any more money on bad service. This location did not uphold The Captial Grille's name when it came to class on service, clientele, or taste. I would not recommend this location.
