Great for sporting events, enormous TVs with audio. They do show all UFC fights. Excellent beer selection for a sports bar and staff that remembers and welcomes the regulars. Food could be a lot better. Stick with the pizza.

Had the nachos and sliders - a bit too greasy. Service was fine but very packed due to UFC night. They really need to lower the volume - it is so high the commentary becomes distorted and actually is harder to hear.

Came for a happy hour. They have some cocktails on happy hour menu. Can order from bar and there is table service. Food is good for bar food: we shared fries tenders pizza and nachos. The ambiance is dark and comfortable with soft lighting and plush seating available. It can get loud with games. Parking is available in a paid lot but the machines weren't working the day I was there. Street parking is also available (read the signs) and there's also metered street parking.

Bartender was extremely rude and exhibited racial under tones when interacting with my friend and I . I spoke to the manger about the situation. He was extremely apologetic but the damage was done. We felt extremely uncomfortable here and would never visit again.

Definitely don’t recommend coming here to watch any games, especially football Sunday. They advertise their happy hour that they have every day but I’ve been twice now on both a weekday and weekend to watch a playoff game (NBA and NFL) and they decide to not do happy hour on those days apparently. Without any sort of happy hour, you’ll be paying $8 for a bottle of beer. On top of that, the service is so bad and unless you go out of your way to stop someone to order, nobody will ever come to take your order. On top of that, have to give yourself at least 15 minutes in order to close out your bill.

I don't mind getting my order cancelled. But I do mind when a restaurant supposedly open until 2am takes 30+ minutes to decide they're too lazy to make your order your order until after midnight when there's no alternative restaurants besides McDonald's & Denny's to get food from. Funnily enough my friend told me not to order from here. Apparently she used to frequent this bar and after denying one of the staff members her phone number he went out of her way to make her life as miserable as possible on all future visits. Scummy people = scummy service.
The chick that was there tonight was garbage. Literally said shed be with us next and proceeded to talk to dudes and stay on her phone. Watched it all happen. Dude that was bartending with her was cool though. 52$ for two Irish car bombs though got charged for two full beers when they fave us half.

This place has so much potential and the best TV/sports bar viewing set up, plently of seats at the bar which are decently easy to snag but it's got an identity crisis. I've been there when service has been so slow they've comp'ed my meal (very kindly i may add) cause it didn't come out and I've been there with some attentive servers. Everyone in the neighborhood says , " Nickelmine is a crapshoot, Nickel Mine is hit or miss." It's not consistent and I know there is an appetite for people to make it their Cheers! neighborhood bar and they wish it was. You just don't know what you are going to walk into.. I've been there for Sunday football when all we wanted was to eat some food, drinks some beers and watch a game at the bar to wrap up a Sunday. The management BLASTED, I MEAN BLASTED -like couldn't hear the person sitting next to me- the most profane, vulgar music (was mortified for the guy having dinner with his older parents and the couples on dates) and it seemed like they couldn't read the room and how much it turned people off and were just concerned about impressing a few of their drunk buddies at the bar. We've left because it's been so loud that patrons can't even hear each other. I'm desperately rooting for them - the bones are all there, management just needs to be a bit more self aware.
