Wonderful ambiance ! Was easy to find street parking even on the weekend. Very well mixed drinks ! The shishito peppers were a lovely snack to munch on. We had the bit crusher which was a very good drink (even for me - not a huge mezcal fan) and the parrot project which was milky and sweet (but not too sweet). Overall loved it and will definitely be coming back!
The Semi-Tropic is is a pleasant surprise. My wife and I were out on a date while our children were doing their thing, and we bumped into this wonderful establishment. Parking is a bit sketchy. However, the atmosphere is cool and relaxing. I enjoyed watching the bartender shake drinks. He did it so rhythmically, yes I think the thing that surprised me the most was the food. Cute little spot in echo park. Funky vibe, lots of lgbtq family. Love the seating: seats, chaises, etc. bathrooms are clean, food is okay ? the beet hummus was good. Going to try something else next time I’m here. The employees are amiable and attentive. It’s street parking. Best to park a ways away and walk or just Uber. The disco ball and lighting are the best. Very chill ambiance.
