The 2 young white male workers here were extremely rude. One was cussing the whole time just because a couple passing through said they had their car parked in the lot (they needed the handicap parking.) One of the male employees told them they aren’t allowed to park there and need to leave, they kept explaining they have a handicap parking spot, he said ok and they said thank you and walked to their car. As soon as they walked away, he started cussing for them to get the F-out and called them F’n idiots, all while I’m waiting for my coffee to be made. His colleague was making my coffee and talking to him about the customers and how stupid he thinks they all are because they park in the wrong spots. They both had a full on conversation talking poorly about each customer they encountered, all while I’m standing there. The one that was upset about the couple, was also slamming everything as he was closing down shop. Even when I ordered my coffee, I asked to sub the milk for almond milk. The one who went off on the couple took my order and asked if I wanted boxed almond milk or another kind, tbh I didn’t know the difference so I told him I’m not sure. He rolled his eyes and went “ok then boxed” and his coworker yelled “oh we got another, ANOTHER ONE really…” as he was preparing my drink. Extremely uncomfortable and obvious that these 2 entitled brats don’t have common courtesy for the people they service. This is definitely a place to avoid if around the Griffith park area. I truly came here because I saw videos of this place and wanted to try it out, but after experiencing this and considering that I’m a totally different race… this felt uncomfortable, inconsiderate, and degrading. Do not come here. Not worth the visit and humiliation that was felt.

Everything time you come down to Griffins Observatory you have to came to The Trails for there few goodies especially their lavender shortbread cookie! That's what we ordered and Avocado Sandwich. Their sandwiches are bountiful like you can see the picture I can explain it just few words you got to come here and try it. Service are very friendly and the environment is very cute and planted seating area.

The Trails is the reason I go to Griffith Park so often. Nothing better than a beautiful hike and tasty treat. Everything is fresh and delicious. Very consistent and nice staff. I'd highly recommend this place to everyone!!

So disappointed food was not all that!! I got the Quiche and my kid got the avocado sand. Which was a bit better than the frozen quiche warm in the microwave definitely not worth $30. The service definitely not good young people on their phones looked bother to have customers in a rainy day…

Love love love this place. The workers here are so nice and welcoming! It always such a nice place to get a snack after a nice hike. They have such good items on the menu that are delicious and one of my personal favorite is the cookie because it was so warm and fresh. The area around is very nice they have tables to eat and the ambiance is lovely as well. I love it so much and would definitely come back! It does get full in the morning depending on what time you go but its so worth the wait for sure!!

Why am I just finding out about this place? I have been in this area many times over the years but never came across this cafe. After our short hike today we spotted this place and had to check it out. At 1pm there was a long line of people so I'm like ok we have to wait and try it. While waiting in line you smell the cookies and scones they are baking. Once it was my turn I couldn't decide what to get. We weren't hungry so I ordered cold brew coffee, a lavender chocolate chip scone and an apple oatmeal cookie. Delicious .... Freshly baked goodness. We sat under the big trees where there are many picnic tables and enjoyed our sweets and coffee. They have coffee, tea, sandwiches, cookies.... We had a beautiful time with my son and husband enjoying the fresh air, the trees and the surrounding greenery all around. What a great find. Can't wait to come back.

Amazing gluten free options, especially for those with a sweet tooth. Best GF doughnut I've ever eaten. Great spot for something to eat and drink after a hike.

This place was a precious little spot next to the Fern Dell Trail. It's a quick little walk up spot that has a fair amount of options for your snacks and breakfast needs. The person that helped us was very nice and he was quick in grabbing our coffee and food. We ordered a blueberry banana muffin and it was delicious. The iced mocha was okay, probably wouldn't get it again. Overall a great place to grab some food with plenty of outdoor seating.
