The York is a no frills bar with good variety of drinks but my favorite was the Mother Earth Cali Creamin. Tastes like a creamsicle! The women wanted to try the Apple Pie cider but was sold out, settled for Apple cider in a can, and at 8% it didn't disappoint. Would come again to chill and hang out and try something new.We sis miss out on a live band but the music was decent. ?

My friend was hired here a few years back and they had him work a full 8 hour shift and didn’t pay him at all. I’ve never eaten here I’m sure the food is fine but this is unacceptable for management anywhere.

This was such a fun place for me. The food was excellent, as was the staff. They made me the greatest Bloody Mary I've ever encountered, I believe. Fantastic work!

Aston villa, New Castle, Roma fans, and more gather here for the futbol/soccer games and enjoy some food and drinks. My fiancé had a bloody Mary and liked it.Pictures below for your convenience.

Amazing place to meet up with friends and watch fútbol on the weekends! Even when it was raining Sunday morning, everyone there to watch the games were all super friendly and all of the staff were accommodating! I will definitely be back because of the overall atmosphere!!!

Just when you thought all vegetables were healthy, here comes the cauliflower wings at the York! Holy moly, were they delicious! We ordered the chili lime variety. Think about how delicious orange chicken is and then times that by a factor of 20. I don't normally eat "wings" but if they're anything like these cauliflower versions, I've been missing out big-time. Go to the York and get the cauliflower chili lime wings. Trust me on this one.

Cool vibe, easy parking, delicious food and tasty drinks! Our favorite drink of the night was the lemon meringue martini! I was expecting it to be tart but it was so good! The loaded fries had a wonderful seasoning and the bacon was...yum! I love that there is a parking lot behind with a well lit alley leading to York blvd just a few store fronts down. Nice place for a Friday evening appetizer and cocktail.

I used to frequent this place when it first opened. I decided to drop by Friday to see how it is now. I have no complaints; the drinks were good, and there was a live band playing Spanish music. It wasn't overly crowded, which was nice because I do enjoy having somewhere to sit. We had a great time.

Very low-key, after-dinner, quiet bar you can take your date. The vibe is a cross between a gastropub and a speakeasy front. The cushioned booths are in a semicircle, and looks sort of posh. It's also pretty dark here, and quiet enough for good conversations. My group went on a Saturday before Thanksgiving week, and there were only a few patrons. They had a small but good selection of cocktails. I've only tried their Tamarindo and a martini with Lychee and they were both pretty tasty. We were seated at a long table behind the bar (the bar is situated in the middle of the space, facing one long wall west) so service-wise, you'd need to flag them down when they walked past or go around to the other side where the bar is. if you came here for privacy tho, this place is perfect *wink* While this bar is my kind of low key place, the one thing I must gripe about is parking. I just don't like Highland Park street parking in general: one hour limit on the meters? Everyone knows one must stay at least 3 hours when socializing.

Get your food, drink AND MUSIC on at The York. We caught a smokin' band on a cool Saturday night. The bar and well-worn booths around it were packed. A bit of a thing to order your food & drink, which must be done at the bar for all orders. Grab a number and take a seat. Waitstaff was slammed and wasn't handling the clearing of plates and glasses which were piling up. The IPA selection was decent. I ordered the Made West IPA. Food-wise, we threw down on THE CUBANO complete with crispy pickles and piled with juicy meat. A touch greasy but, for my palate, that was just right. The fries were tasty and a micro-touch moist. The cabbage slaw that they serve with it is delicious. Thanks to the talent booker there...the band we saw - CITIZEN KITTEN - was one of the best pop/jazz fusion bands we'd ever witnessed. Score!
