My wife and I, along with our German Shepherd, Luna, visited this restaurant today for lunch, and we were thoroughly impressed. The highlight for me was the cream cheese muffins, which were absolutely delicious. Living just two blocks away, it’s a delight to discover such a gem in our neighborhood. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food in a welcoming atmosphere.

Amazingggg! Everything! Well first they greeted me as soon as I walked in, I am plant based so they offered me multiple things on menu such as brussel sprouts, potatoes, broccoli! They even made me some penne pasta with broccoli and red sauce and basil with the perfect spice just the way I love it ! You all did amazing ! Including the cashier ! I really enjoyed the fresh watermelon juice ! Thank you !

My visit to Tuscan Son left me with a positive impression, earning this spot a well-deserved 4-star review. Here's the breakdown of my experience:The friendly service at Tuscan Son was notable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall dining experience. The staff's warmth and attentiveness made the meal more enjoyable. The extensive food selections at Tuscan Son were impressive, offering a wide array of options to cater to different tastes. The fact that everything is homemade is a significant plus, showcasing a commitment to quality.I opted for the Mac & Cheese with added chicken. While the dish came out fresh and the chicken was deliciously soft, the Mac & Cheese left a bit to be desired. While still good, it didn't meet the cheesy expectations I had, and I felt something, perhaps breadcrumbs, was missing. Despite this, it secured a place in my top 10, possibly top 5, Mac & Cheese experiences. It's a testament to the overall quality of the food that even with minor shortcomings, it was still enjoyable. The positive reviews from a local friend and the satisfaction of our group's meals underscored the consistent quality Tuscan Son delivers. The homemade desserts, in particular, caught my eye, and it's a definite item on my list for the next visit. With such a diverse menu offering numerous tempting options, I'm eager to return and explore more of Tuscan Son's culinary delights. The friendly service, homemade goodness, and the potential for culinary surprises make it a restaurant worth revisiting.

Great food and service. Would have liked to sit outside, but traffic on Santa Monica Blvd is just too loud, not really the restaurant's fault.

Important detail: this restaurant is counter service. They will serve food to your table but you will order at the counter. We went here on a Sunday night and ordered: rigatoni, shrimp and vodka penne, roasted vegetable salad, and brussell sprouts. The pasta was good and reasonably priced for LA. Nothing amazing but they do have other handmade options that looked appealing. The salad was a mediocre creamy dressing with an underwhelming amount of roasted vegetables. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked. We didn’t order any baked goods but they looked delicious. They did not have wine but appeared to be applying for an alcohol license.Overall: probably a great lunch or to go spot, but not a good option for date night. The outside seating is nice but subject to the noise of Santa Monica blvd. It would benefit from table service and alcohol options. The staff are friendly.

I ordered the lasagna on DoorDash. It was expensive yet excellent with home style and comforting flavors. It arrived lukewarm. Looking at the photos on Yelp, I want to try some of the yummy looking homemade desserts! Looking forward to ordering from here again soon.

Overall positive experience. Portion sizes and ingredients are inconsistent, sometimes small like side dishes. However, Tuscan Son could greatly facilitate ordering, especially phone orders, by posting better descriptions of its dishes as well as their prices on its website, and on the emails the Café sends to customers. I find it annoying and time consuming to call, sometimes wait on hold, then try to understand what the staff is mumbling in describing the dish, then in quoting a price that might include fees and taxes. This is why I no longer call.

Came here on a Thursday evening around 8:50PM for their chocolate cakes. I often come here around this time every week right before closing (9:00PM) without an issue. I was told they were closed. I was quite disappointed as I just got off work and drove 15 minutes just for their flourless chocolate cake and chocolate mousse cake. These cakes are still on display in the fridge are just sold the next day anyways. I saw the workers still gathering orders in the kitchen at that time. Definitely upsetting. If you don't honor your store hours, please change them appropriately.
