I didn't realize they were closing and placed a phone order like normal a little before 7p NYE. I found out the news after arriving and was joyful to have their tasty Mongolian beef one more time. Thanks for all the good food over the years and enjoy retirement!!

After learning about their closing, I decided to pick up some of their dishes the night before Christmas Eve. The owner was wonderfully kind and very accommodating. Their Americanized Chinese food is exactly what you would expect from the 1970s, and it was good. It's no wonder they've lasted for 50 years. I'm sure Covid-19 influenced their decision shutter the restaurant after dinner service tonight (which was at 7:30 pm) and start 2021 happily retired. They will be missed.

Thank you Aunty Lina for always serving the best food! My coworkers and I would frequent this restaurant often. We work for the nearby studios and lunch here was always amazing! So sad to hear you're closing, but happy for your new chapter in retirement I hope you like the scarf, and thank you again for a great last meal. Its going to be hard to find another restaurant that comes close.

i am so sad to read about the restaurant closing linita you saw me when i was a little kid and i have loved your food ever since , i moved to las vegas thats why i dont go nomore and its sad to know i am not going to be able to have my last wonton soup and mongolian beef here ... i hope your retirement treats you better then you have treated your loyal customers over the years .. sincerely the figueroa family .

I recently learned that Wah's is closing down. This was the go to place for my mom and I when she was the administrator at Virgil Convalescent Hospital back 40yrs ago. She often worked late and I would meet her at the office and we would go to Wah's to bring home food when she didn't want to cook. This was high praise because she herself was a gourmet Chinese cook and working super mom. We would get the Beef Chow Fun and gailan. Lot's of wonderful memories here. Thank you for being such a staple for so long. Happy Retirement!

Amazing local restaurant with great food and very fair prices! The family who runs it is lovely -- a real mom and pop affair, always ready with a smile. So very sorry to see them close but happy they get to enjoy their well earned retirement! Best wishes!

So sad that this place is closing :( Over the past 6 years I've loved eating here and the ambience inside the restaurant, loved the delicious food, loved the friendliness of the owner and loved seeing the cutest grandma in the kitchen. Wah's Golden Hen will truly be missed.

Several years ago I was locked out of a friends apartment located a few blocks away. It was pouring rain that day. I was waiting a long time at the restaurant for my friend to come with the key. When I explained to the lady (Mrs. Wah) my situation, she promptly brought out some tea and cookies and sat right down at my table and we proceeded to converse for a good two hours! She was so especially proud of her "grandbabies"! When my friend finally came, she sent us both home with carry out dinners, on the house! Sweetest kindest lady ever, and she earned a customer for life! I truly wish the Wah family all the best in their retirement.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! The people who run it are SO nice! Ask about the lunch special, splurge on a drink, leave a tip for take out - you are still getting the best deal in the area and you'll be supporting a great spot! The food was delicious and a big portion! Will be eating here many more times! (Did I include enough exclamation points??!? Haha)
Amazing combination chow fun with huge portions. I called ahead and the food was ready in 5 minutes!! Cash only but they also take venmo (phew!!) Amazing mom and pop place, highly, highly recommended
