AN INSTITUTION the best carne asada burrito you'll ever have. you know why? NO RICE. rice doesn't belong in a burrito.someone complained about the price. having grown up here and lived through all the gentrification and seen all the displacement of generations of families and businesses in favor of bougie trends that aren't worth a damn, i'm the FIRST person to complain about the outrageous prices of things around la. but yuca's is legit and they keep their prices low especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. i grew up walking to yucas and compared to the yuppie wannabe mexican places (ahem homestate), this is where you get your money's worth.one day i will try the cheeseburger. it was my high school boyfriend's favorite and now he has his own restaurant that regularly has a 3 hour wait (hint: spicy chicken sandwiches). people rave about it, and it regularly makes top ten burgers in la lists. but i just can't stop ordering the carne asada burrito. or the cochinita pibil tacos.anyway. i'm getting a burrito right now!viva yuca's!!

**Beware I wanted to like this place. I ordered a Torta with meat. I could not believe how small it was for almost 14.00. It was something you would see in a kids meal. It was so disappointing. The cherry on top, was the taste. The meat was hard not much flavor. Way too expensive. I have no idea how this place gets away ripping people off. Hard pass, never ever again!

You would never know to come here if it wasn't for the lines that they usually have! A little expensive but worth it. Definitely coming back here again!

Always Delicious. But they do NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS. As I found out the hard way -- after checking this page and reading that they did take credit cards -- then arriving with no cash and having to dig through my car for singles and quarters to pay for a couple tacos. Please FIX the wrong info!! Even with this inconvenience, the food is great and the people who work here are so nice.

Carne Asada Burrito / 5! Double Cheeseburger / 5! Yuca's is the tiny little food stand that over delivers! I have been in Los Feliz for four years and have passed by Yuca's many times. I deeply regret sleeping on this place, but now that I know what they make and how well they make it, I plan on being a regular. Los Feliz has a lot of trendy places so it is nice to have a spot where they serve fantastic street food without any fuss. The entire stand is maybe the size of a large walk in closet and is one of the smallest kitchens I have ever seen. I was impressed to see three people working inside when I stopped by. Where they store all their food is a mystery. Since I hadn't been before, I went with the carne asada burrito because each person in front of me when I lined up ordered the burrito so I figured there must be some kind of magic in it. The carne asada was an excellent choice. The meat was tender and well seasoned. Their burrito was the perfect size for a lunch meal. I was not prepared for how hot the hot sauce they had on the counter was but after I got my taste buds under control, the heat was a perfect addition to the burrito. When I ordered, I noticed a food article proudly displayed by the order window. The article mentioned how Yuca's also had some great, very affordable cheeseburgers. Intrigued, I went back the next day and the article was spot on. The hamburger was cooked to a nice, juicy crisp and everything loaded on the burger was fresh and tasty. The price for the burger was hard to pass up! The article was about a James Beard award recognition. Impressive and worthy of the accolades. They have a nice, small patio to go with their tiny food stall hut. I enjoyed eating my two different meals watching the Los Feliz denizens stroll by. Lovely place. They seem to have a parking lot connected to the hut and a few other businesses.

i came here around 3 and i had a hot dog and carne asada. it was surprisingly pretty good :) all i wished better is that the hot dogs weren't so small but overall it was good!! i really liked the carne asada to! also, the people working there are very nice! it's a pretty causal place; you order and they call your name when the food is ready. there are many tables to sit at outside.

We’re in town for a few days and after wandering around Griffith Park for a while, we decided to try this James Beard-recognized spot for lunch. It’s a casual little window-serve eatery that was constantly busy while we were there. We ordered a carne asada torta, a carnitas taco, carne asada taco, a chili cheese dog, and then a plain cheeseburger to go because almost everyone that walked up ordered one and we needed to know what that was all about. The torta was great - hot grilled steak served on the softest bread (with ketchup, which I thought was different, lettuce, onion, and tomato). The carnitas tacos were served with a double corn tortilla and from the bite I got, sand and new to have great flavor as well. The chili cheese dog was the only regret because we thought the chili tasted kinda canned, but it did have a big chunks of meat. Now, the burger. Every single person that walked up or called ordered a burger (some even ordered two or more!), in addition to a taco or two. It came out wrapped in wax paper and smelled amazing. It was well seasoned with melty cheese and reminded me of the best backyard burger. It wasn’t greasy at all and the buns were warm, too. We’re low key mad we didn’t order this first. Or more than one. I don’t know what it is about that burger, but I’m gonna think about it for days.

This place is a dump, they store there food in the liquor store across the parking lot.14.00 for a burrito, that is extremely excessive.I also got very sick. I will be calling the health department.Do not eat here.A taco truck has better food.
