I came in for brunch on Mother's Day. The restaurant was very busy, and the wait time was 30 minutes. The food was excellent, and the service was great. I would definitely return if I'm in the area. Additionally, the restaurant is dog-friendly.

Los Gatos Cafe is the spot for that ole diner food experience. Inside and outside seating. Counter seating is, for me the best place to witness the staff up close. The staff all spoke Spanish along with the cooks. They take pride in serving their guest and the food was delivered in a timely manner. Even if the place was packed, the cooks are efficient with their delivery of affordable and plentiful portions of that diner food we all enjoy eating. Someone criticized that the eggs Benedict were soggy. You can always have the sauce on the side. The waitresses are eager to please your preferences in how you would like the food received.I ordered the apple sausage Cali Benedict, with grits. The grits was great. I had brown sugar added with butter. The Benedict was smothered, with avocado with eggs over easy. The sauce was light. Not too thick. So, I was good with that.Overall, if you enjoy a Spanish speaking wait staff who are efficient and accommodating…this cafe is the spot. Go ahead and, pretend you are in a Spanish speaking area and practice your Spanish.

I had the Benedict super and it had fried bacon with avocado. Herbed potatoes sides made it filling. French toast was not too sweet with perfect flavors. Would highly recommend for brunch.

Let's see, came to this place because it was highly recommend by Google maps. But gotta say it was underwhelmig.Firstly the staff were great, we were seated fast, ordering was easy and the food came fast. However, the food side of this equation is where we fall short.Firstly, the coffee was extremely burnt, to the point where I was convinced they had added pepper to the brew. How is a dinner going to have bad drip coffee. This is priority one!Orderd the crab cake special and it was under seasoned, it lacked texture and overall the flavor was quite bland. The potatoes offered no redeeming quality. It's ok, overall. Was perhaps just expecting too much.

The best brunch in Los Gatos, with large portions at a reasonable price. I can recommend the black and blue eggs benedict.

My recent brunch experience at Los Gatos Cafe was a mixed bag. The atmosphere was laid-back and the location convenient for browsing local shops, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite hit the mark. The veggie Benedict was disappointingly mushy and lacked flavor, while the French toast left much to be desired in terms of taste and texture. The service was adequate but nothing extraordinary. However, amidst the culinary letdowns, there was a glimmer of hope - the cinnamon bun. It was delicious and satisfying, standing out as the highlight of an otherwise underwhelming meal.In summary, while Los Gatos Cafe offers a relaxed vibe and a great location, it falls short in terms of food quality. If you're simply looking for a casual spot to grab a bite and enjoy the ambiance, it might suffice. However, if you're seeking a truly memorable brunch experience with standout dishes, you might want to explore other options in the area.

Solid spot for brunch in Los Gatos! They have both indoor and outdoor patio dining. The outdoor dining area has heat lamps, and they'll open up the awning when it gets too sunny out! I got the Crab Souffle Omelette, and I really enjoyed it! The omelette itself was huge! I was impressed with just how fluffy it was--way better than an ordinary omelette! The Crab Souffle omelette is filled with crab, avocado, tomato, mushrooms, and topped with hollandaise sauce. All of the souffle omelettes come with a bakery item and herb potatoes and grits. I love that you can get a specialty bakery item like their carrot walnut bread or raspberry coffee cake in addition to their selection of breads/English muffin/bagel. You can even add their cinnamon roll, but it will cost you an extra $5. I recommend getting their carrot walnut bread! It's tasty--a little savory and a little sweet--with a great combination of textures. I tried some of the raspberry coffee cake but did not like it as much. I would also recommend getting the herb potatoes instead of the grits. The herb potatoes were quite yummy! We were expecting the grits to be like cheesy grits or shrimp and grits (something with flavor) but these ended up just being plain grits. So unless that's what you're looking for, go with the potatoes! Service is pretty fast and efficient. Parking is street parking or park in one of the nearby public lots. There are a bunch of these in Downtown Los Gatos, so I've never had to walk too far!
