Co worker recommend to come here since I always talk about hole in the wall spots in the town.First and foremost this spot is definitely cleaner and a bit fancier than the hole in the wall spots in Oakland. Second this place is definitely the most affordable in all of Los Gatos where average price for lunch is 18 dollars and higher. But I see why my co workers said this is a hole in the wall spot for Los Gatos. They cook to order so your food come out piping hot. Hot and sour soup is on point. And there was a good amount of bamboo shoot in my soup with mushrooms. They didn’t skimp on one of my favorite type of soup. My chow main wasn’t super oily, fried rice is good too, what I needed was was chilli oil,Sriracha and a tiny bit of sweet and sour sauce to bring it to my nostalgic taste that I grew up eating. Their spring roll was crispy on the outside and firm but soft inside.(missing sweet and sour dipping sauce). Overall it’s a great place and best bang for your buck when you need some affordable food.

Shangri-La is a fire fast food Chinese spot. They make the food as it's ordered, great prices and chunky portions. The service isn't going to blow you away but what do you expect, it's frigging fast food! The ambiance is out dated but again, who cares?!? We are here for the food y'all! I've been here about four or five times and been satisfied every time. Very legit, very affordable and big portions. One of the last great Chinese fast food places in the South Bay that isn't crazy over priced. Don't let these white people in Los Gatos tell you otherwise. Fools wouldn't know good food it slapped them in the taste buds.

Great food , especially for Chicken - Chow - Mein lovers and Orange Chicken lovers I recommend this space . They cook on good oil , you can taste that . Place is clean , admin is nice . Prices are not bad at all for that quality of food and that kind of place . I'm definitely coming back for another plate !

I don't see why everyone is hating on this place. Food was actually really good for the price, the serving sizes were fairly large and everything I ordered, had its own distinct flavor. It felt small yet very open and food came out very quickly. For cheap Chinese food in the area this is really good.

We ordered take-out with Grubhub delivery, so I can't comment on the restaurant itself or its service. The Grubhub service was good, however. Our ordered arrived on schedule. Overall, the food was so-so to good. I ordered curry chicken chow fun, combination fried rice, and fried prawns. My wife ordered orange chicken. My wife commented that the orange chicken was good. My fried rice and prawns were also good, but the dipping sauce for the prawns lacked flavor. The curry chicken chow fun, however, was mediocre. The curry flavor was barely noticeable and the amount of chicken was meager. The quantity of chow fun, though, was abundant but flavorless.

I've been coming to this restaurant for 20 years I absolutely love them. They are wonderful people! I love love with their Chinese chicken salad and their Shangri-La special. It's extremely reasonably priced which makes it well worth it and they're always friendly. The food is always excellent. I love almost all the dishes there are a couple I don't like, but probably my personal preference.

I'm currently working with a client at The Terraces, and was craving food that my ancestors ate (if they had dreamed of Americanized Chinese food, that is). The closest Panda Express is over five miles away, so I took a chance on this place. And what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Great-tasting food and large serving. Very reasonable cost. Friendly service. My ancestors would have approved.

This place is close to my office, so it's been a frequent lunch choice for us. We ordered two different beef-oriented lunch specials, and both of our meals had at least one large piece of beef that was still partially raw and had clearly not been cooked all the way. It makes me pretty nervous about the potential contamination to the rest of the food. Overall the customer service is always high quality, and the food is good, but not worth potentially getting sick over.

You know why your restaurant is not busy anymore? Your quality has gone down significantly. The meat was all clumped up and not cut through. The grease is too much. Sorry but after 22 years I'm out. Why else has the employee headcount gone down so much. Please raise things to your previous standards.

Had lunch here today, and I'm not sure what the buzz is about! Granted, I only tried 1 menu item. I still don't see having one sub-par item, and everything else is stellar! I love soup, period, so I came and ordered the BBQ pork wonton soup! Hoping for big things, what caught my eye was how small the bowl and portion were, especially for $11! The soup was basic at best and was never offered condiments, not even Sriracha. The soup had 4 wonton, a couple of carrots, a piece of zucchini, a boat load of bok choy, and some pork that tasted like it started turning (rotting) semi sour! I have no reason to give this spot a bad review as I wanted it to shine since my new job is really close. Cup of Ramen broth has more gusto than their broth did. As I was eating, there was a worker in the kitchen that sounded like he was barfing, no lie as the owner told him to go to lunch! At that point, I was done with this spot. I may never go back because I could easily go to Togos or Dona Maria for what I spent. On a positive basis, the only thing that was OK was the bok choy and fortune cookie! I hope they improve over time so I can return, but as of now, I'm not!

I bought the lemon chicken. It was the best lemon chicken I have ever eaten. Loved it!
